Luther Burns, Corsicana.  Wife of the former Sammie Horn.  Entered service 1942.  Trained with Navy Seabees at Providence, Camp Endicott and Camp Parks.  Served in New Hebrides, Admiralty Islands and is now somewhere in the S. Pacific.  Has Campaign Ribbons with Battle Star.

Pvt. Leon Burns, son of Ethel Burns.  Wife, the former Esma Othella Coker.  Attended Ben Wheeler Schools.  Entered service 1944, training at Camp Joseph T. Robinson and Ft. Meade.  Served in European Theater.  Awarded Purple Heart Posthumously.  Killed in action, November 20, 1944 in Germany.

Davis, N.C., Ft. Bliss, and Camp Shelby, Miss.  Completed Radio Schools with honors.  Served in Scotland, England, France as official mail and radio messenger.  Has 3 Battle Stars.
