Pfc. Earl Garvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Garvin, Blooming Grove.  Entered Army in 1944, trained with Army at Camp Robinson, Ark.  Has served in Philippines, now on duty on Luzon.  Has Combat Infantry Badge and Philippines Liberator Medal.

GASTON, J. C.
1st Lt. J. C. Gaston, son of the late E. B. Gaston, husband of the former Miss Mary Butler, attended Corsicana Schools.  Trained with Field Artillery at Camp Roberts, Ft. Sill, Camp Maxey.  Has served in England, France, Belgium, Australia, now on duty with the 83rd Division in Germany.  Has Purple Heart for wounds received in Belgium, 1944, D.F.C., 2 Clusters, and Air Medal.

Gatheright of Corsicana, graduated from Corsicana High School and John Tarleton Junior College.  Entered the Infantry on Feb. 10, 1942, trained at Camp Roberts, Calif., as Mortar Gun Leader.  Has served in the South Pacific, now on duty on Luzon Island.  Has Good Conduct Medal, The Infantry Combat Badge and Citation from McArthur.

PO 2/C Richard Neil Gay, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Gay, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Green Hall. Entered service 1943, trained with Navy at Norman, Okla. and in Minnesota. Now on duty at San Diego.

Bliss, and San Diego.  Has served in the European Theater, discharged in Aug., 1945.  Has 3 Bronze Stars and 5 Battle Stars.
GIBSON, JIMMIE
Sgt. Jimmie Gibson, son of Mrs. Eva and Mr. Oscar Gibson, Barry, attended Oklahoma Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Infantry at Camp Adair.  Has served in South Pacific and was wounded on Leyte, 1944.  Has Good Conduct, Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Bar, Infantry Combat Badge, and Oak Leaf Cluster.

Cpl. William E. Gilbreath, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Gilbreath, Barry, husband of the former Miss Winnie Mae Stone, attended Rice High School. Entered service, 1940, trained with the 8th Corp Special Service Army at Dodd Field, Ft. Sam Houston and Camp Bowie.  Discharged, 1944.

Russell.  Has served in Hawaii, Guam, Philippines, Dutch New Guinea, wounded in action, 1942, prisoner of war, 1942-1945.  Has Purple Heart, Presidential Citation.  Now on duty at Ft. Sam Houston.

Gilcrease.  Entered Army, 1942, trained at Camp Roberts.  Has served in Fiji Islands, New Zealand, Australia and others, discharged on Point System.  Holds Presidential Citation, Oak Leaf Clusters, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Legion of Merit and Philippine Liberation Citation, wounded in 1944, and 1945.

Gilcrease, graduate of Powell High School.  Entered service in 1940, trained with Army at Camp Bowie, Camp Blanding, and Camp Edwards.  Has served in Africa and Italy, discharged on Point System.  Holds Soldiers Medal, Bronze Star and Presidential Citation with Legion of Merit.

Gilcrease, husband of the former Miss Agnes Loretta Collerain, graduate of Corsicana High School, attended University of Texas.  Entered Air Corps in 1940, trained at Love Field, Randolph Field, Kelly Field and Syrma, Tenn.  Commander of 1014 Sqdn. at Tarrant Field, killed in Chicago, May 20, 1943.
