GILL, CHESTER N.
S 1/C Chester N. Gill, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gill, husband of the former Lorene Petty, attended Emhouse High School.  Entered the service, and trained at San Diego.  Now on duty at Pearl Harbor.
GILL, JAMES E.
Pvt. James E. Gill, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gill and husband of the former Miss Alline F. Folley, attended Angus High School.  Entered the Army 1944, trained at Camp Fannin.  Has served in Germany, where he was killed on Feb. 18, 1945.

Cpl. Billy L. Gillen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Drew Gillen, Blooming Grove, husband of the former Miss Wanda McLain, attended Blooming Grove High School and Texas A. & M.  Entered service 1942, trained with Air Corps at Spokane, Washington, and Lewisville, Kentucky.  Has served in Newfoundland, now on duty on the Azores Islands.
GILLEN, GEORGE B.
Lt. George B. Gillen, son of Mr. O. L. Gillen, attended Blooming Grove School.  Entered service, 1940, trained at Aloe.  Now on duty at Roswell, New Mexico.

S 1/C Crawford Leon Gillen, son of Mr. Crawford L. Gillen, Ft. Worth, husband of the former Miss Zola Lusk, attended Blooming Grove Schools. Entered service, 1943, trained with Navy at San Diego, San Pedro and Orbana, Illinois. Has served in New Guinea, Admiralty Islands, and Philippines, now on duty in Pacific.

Cpl. Joseph D. Gillen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Gillen, Frost, husband of the former Miss Johnell Payne, graduate of Barry High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Ft. Frances E. Warren, Camp Blanding, Ft. Dix, Camp Pickett.  Has served in N. Africa, England, Italy.  Has Good Conduct Medal. Battle Star.
GILLEN, WILLIE M.
Sgt. Willie M. Gillen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Gillen, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Alpine Stewart, attended Angus School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with 3rd Army at Camp Swift.  Has served in England, France, Germany, and Australia.  Has Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct, E.T.O. with 4 Campaign Stars.  Wounded in Germany, 1944, in Germany, 1945 now at Redistribution Station.
GILLIAM, JOHN
Pfc. John Gilliam, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Gilliam of Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Marcelle Bridges.  Entered the service on Nov. 5, 1943.  Trained at Camp Fannin, Tyler, Texas.  Has served in New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, now on duty in the Philippines.
GILLIAM, J. D.
A/C J. D. Gilliam, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton N. Justiss, Corsicana, graduate of Corsicana High School.  N.T.A.C. and Hillsboro.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Air Corps at Vernon, Randolph Field, killed in a plane crash, July 20, 1942, near Highlands, Texas.
GILLIAM, SMITH E.

Pvt. Smith E. Gilliam, son of Mrs. Alma Gilliam, Carlyle, Ark., husband of the former Miss Carrine Daniels, Corsicana.  Entered the service, 1940, trained with Army.  Has served in European Theater, now a patient in the hospital in Utah.

SSC 3/C Don L. Gipson, son of Mrs. J. J. Gipson, Corsicana, attended Rice and Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Seabees at San Diego, Calif.  Has served in New Guinea, Australia, Philippines and now on duty in Luzon.
GLASS, JAMES Q.
AMM 1/C James Q. Glass, son of Mr. and  Mrs. Hubert L. Glass, Corsicana, attended Mart and Richland Schools.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Navy at San Diego.  Has served in Hawaiian Islands, Midway, Philippines, Australia, South America, Africa, India and other Islands, also aboard the USS Enterprise through 10 Major Battles in the Pacific, and with Jimmie Doolittle's Raid on Tokyo.
GLASGOW, ALEN C.
S 1/C Allen C. Glasgow, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Glasgow, attended Wilson School.  Entered Navy, 1943, trained at San Diego.  Has served at New Guinea, Pearl Harbor, and India, now on duty in Pacific.
GODWIN, NORMAN B.
S 2/C Norman B. Godwin, son of Mr. Homer Godwin and Mrs. Maudine Brown, graduate of Blooming Grove Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Navy and was stationed in Japan.  Killed in action in Tokyo, July 27, 1944.

S 1/C Allen D. Golden, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Golden, Corsicana, attended Corsicana High School and NTAC.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Navy at San Diego.  Has served in the Pacific Theater, now on duty at Treasure Island, California.
GOMEZ, JESSIE
Pvt. Jessie Gomez, son of Mrs. Rafala Maldonado, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Patsy Mae Wright.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at El Paso, and at Camp Roberts, California.  Holds Expert Rifleman and Machine Gunners Medals.
GONZALES, EMMETT C.
Cpl. Emmett C. Gonzales, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Gonzales, graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Medical Corps at Army at Camp Hulen and Fitzsimmons General Hospital, Colorado.  Has served in England, France, Belgium, and now on duty in Germany.
GONZALES, PETE A.
Pvt. Pete A. Gonzales, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Gonzales, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Dorothy Marie Melton, attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Paratroopers at Ft. Sam Houston and Camp Joseph T. Robinson.  Now on duty in Philippines.
GONTEN, JAMES V.
Pvt. James V. Gonten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Gonten, graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered the Army in 1944, trained at the University of Oklahoma and Camp Hood, Texas.  Serving now on Panay, on one of the Philippine Island.
GOODE, JOHNSON W.
Cpl. Johnson W. Goode, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Goode, husband of the former Miss Pauline Crawford, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army Engineers at Camp Robinson, Ark.  Has served in Alaska and Aleutians.  Now on duty at Ft. Belvoir.
