Potts will officiate with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. A native of Greenville, Webb had lived in Corsicana 34 years where he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sue Webb of Corsicana; one daughter, Mrs. Tom Lambert of Corsicana; two granddaughters, Robbin Lambert and Diane Lambert, both of Corsicana; and three sisters, Mrs. George Reynolds of Shreveport, Mrs. Jo Coffee of Houston and Mrs. Ernest Bunch of Denison. Aug 23, 1913 - Dec 12, 2000 Fay Lobeta Ratliff Wells of Nashville, Ark. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Brother Paul Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery.
Mrs. Wells was born Aug. 23, 1913 in Navarro County to Luther Harris Ratliff and Mary Elizabeth Marie Ratliff. She married Eugene Hester on Feb. 15, 1931 and they had four children. She moved to California in the mid-1950s where she met and married James A. Wells. She moved back to Corsicana and from there in 1975 she moved to Hot Springs, Ark. and lived there for 19 years. In April 1994 she moved to Nashville, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Ratliff; mother, Marie Ratliff; husband, James Wells; brother, Urial Ratliff; grandson, Frankie Hester; and son, Luke Hester.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her children, Edward Hester of Yuma, Ariz., Dean Hester of Livingston and Mary Carmeleta Ackley of Nashville, Ark.; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

BETTIE SUE PIERCE died on November 25, 2000 in Dallas Texas. Born in Corsicana, Texas on August 29, 1927 to Festus A. and Al'Nelda Pierce. Graduated from Corsicana High School in 1944 as Valedictorian and editor of the yearbook. Graduated from Ward Belmont College, Nashville, Tennessee in 1946 where she edited the yearboook. Graduated from S.M.U., Dallas, Texas in 1946 serving as editor of the Rotunda yearbook. Member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Beta Phi, awarded a Masters degree in counseling in 1968, and a life member of S.M.U. Alumni Association. Bette had many friends and was an avid reader, sports enthusiast and music lover. She was a longtime and very active member of St. Matthews Cathederal, Daughters of the King and Community of the Holy Spirit.
Preceded in death by sister Anna Mary Pierce Atchley. Survived by a son Jim and daughter Nela Margaret, grandchildren Alen, Stephen, Pierce and Paul and a great granddaughter Regan, sister Winkie Pierce Stroube and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tueadsay November 28, 2000, at St. Matthews Cathedral, The Reverend Jandy Watkins and the Very Reverend Philip Duncan officiating. Bette Sue Pierce, 73, passed away Nov. 25, 2000 in Dallas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Matthews Cathedral in Dallas with the Rev. Jandy Watkins and Rev. Philip Duncan officiating.
Mrs. Pierce was born Aug. 29, 1927 in Corsicana to Festus A. and Al'Nela Pierce. She graduated from Corsicana High in 1944 as valedictorian and
editor of the yearbook. She graduated from Ward Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn. in 1946, where she edited the yearbook. She graduated
from SMU in 1948, serving as the editor of the Trotunda yearbook. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Beta Phi, awarded a masters

Mrs. West was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Corsicana to the late William Robert and Lula Ann Hunt, and was raised in Itasca where she met and married the late James L. West Jr. on Nov. 15, 1943. Most of their married life was spent in Fort Worth where Louise retired from Winn Dixie Grocery Co. as a PBX operator.
Louise was a member of Fort Graham Baptist Church of Whitney and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 522.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James West; daughter, Connie West; sisters, Ella Hunt, Ona Belle Williams and Ruby Upchurch; and brother, Troy Hunt.
Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Dwight Allmon of Itasca and Dana and Marcie Gomez of Whitney; grandchildren, James Lewis, Toby Rios, Teddy Rios, Tracy Rios and Tim Nichols; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and innumerable friends.

Tom H. Westbrook III, 78, of Carthage passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001 in Carthage.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage with the Rev. Larry Tyler officiating. Mr. Westbrook will be cremated.
Mr. Westbrook was born April 29, 1923 in Corsicana to Tom H. Jr. and Christie Allee Thompson Westbrook. He served his country through the Air Force during WWII, serving in China, Burma and India with teh Air Transport Command. He received the Air Medal with two Bronze Stars.
He married Oletha "Jackie" Moses of Del Rio on Nov. 7, 1944. They celebrated almost 57 years together.
Mr. Westbrook received his Bachelors degree from Texas A&M University. He worked in the insurance business since 1953, owning the Westbrook Insurance Company in Carthage.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Al Thompson Westbrook in 1998 and son, James Glenn Westbrook in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Westbrook of Carthage; sons, Tom H. Westbrook IV and wife Toni of Midyett and Davied E. and Pam Westbrook of Carthage; daughters, Carol Kay Waldrop and husband Roger of Shepherdsville, Ken. and Christie Ann Heckler and husband Larry of Arlington; grandchildren, Mindy Cherry and husband Jake of Marshall, Matt Westbrook of Dallas, Glenn Edward Westbrook of Marshall, James Lee Westbrook of Dallas, Austin Daniel of Shepherdsville, Ken., Lauren Heckler of Arlington and Miranda Heckler of Arlington; great grandchildren, Aubrey and Clay Vance, both of Marshall and numerous other relatives and family friends.

Eve (Treadwell) Wetmore
Jan 23, 1918 - Jan 17, 2001 EVE TREADWELL WETMORE, a longtime resident of Houston, Texas, died quietly on January 17, 2001 from Alzheimer's disease. She was born January 23, 1918 in Blooming Grove, Texas, the daughter of Marvin Timothy Treadwell and Mattie Hamon Treadwell and moved to Houston as a young adult where she graduated from Sam Houston High School and Houston Business College. After graduation she was employed by the the executive offices of the Houston division of Firestone Tire Company and later by the Houston area office of the Chevrolet Motor Car Company. Eve was a great humanitarian with deep concern for all mankind. She was a founding member of the Jung Center, a member of The Garden Club of Houston, Houston Yacht Club and Lakeside Country Club. She loved life and was an active tennis player, a medal winning skier and a licensed pilot. She is survived by two sons: Mack Randall Wetmore, Jr. and Jack Starr Wetmore and his wife Nancy of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Clint Starr Wetmore and wife Kristie Parker Wetmore and Randolph Chadwick Wetmore of Houston, Texas. The family would like to give special thanks to her Christian friend, Mary Morrisett, her caretaker, Tammy Cain, and her doctor, Dr. Peter H. Jones. A memorial service in celebration of Eve's life will be held on Monday, January 22, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas. The Reverend J. Services were 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro with the Rev. Henry Suche and the Rev. Billy Condrey officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana. Mrs. White was born Aug. 13, 1917 in Frost to John Frederick and Estelle VanHook Skelton. She married Frank M. White on Feb. 21, 1942. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, having served as president and treasurer of the UMW, as a Sunday School teacher and as pianist for the children's choir. She was past president of the Friends of the Library of the Gilbreath Memorial Library when the library was built. She was corporate secretary and office manager for the Winnsboro Well Service, which was owned by her and her husband Frank. She was a member of the Standard Club and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. While living in Corsicana she was a member of the Episcopal church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, J. F. Skelton.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank M. White of Winnsboro; daughters, Dr. Mary E. White-Scharf of Winchester, Mass. and Catherine Tarpley of Dallas; brother, Charles W. Skelton of Murchison; grandchildren, Christy Clayton, Jason Frank Jones, Benjamin Scharf, Valery Scharf and Stephen Scharf; and four great-grandchildren. She was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Frost. She married Albie E. White on June 27, 1976, in Tulia. She grew up in East Texas. She moved to Lubbock and attended schools here. She moved to Tulia in 1952. She married Ray Lee Powell in 1956. He preceded her in death. She worked for the Swisher County Courthouse maintenance department for 17 years. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ Jackson Chapel in Tulia.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Barbara Yarbrough, Carolyn Wafer and Sherri Shivers, all of Tulia; five sons, Kenneth Powell, Tony Powell, Jeri Powell and Steven Powell, all of Tulia, and Roland Powell of Amarillo; her mother, Gellia Hooker of Tulia; two sisters, Barbara Jackson and Gwen Roberts, both of Oklahoma City; 29 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Dr. Oscar Rex Whiteside, 72, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church with the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Fitch Jr., Clint Pyron, Derrick Whiteside, Jimmy Starling, Jack Whiteside, Chuck Whiteside, Ken Whiteside and Kurt Whiteside.
Dr. Whiteside was born Oct. 23, 1928 in Grapevine, and was a graduate of Grapevine High School. He served his country in two different uniforms, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army, during the Korean conflict. He received his bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University, a master of science degree from Texas Christian University and a doctor of education degree from Baylor University. In 1961, he joined the newly formed Hill Junior College in Hillsboro where he served as registrar and dean. In 1975, he accepted a position as dean of instructional services at Victoria College in Victoria. He had 34 years of experience in college teaching and administration. He retired in 1990 and moved to Corsicana. He served as interim dean at both the Mexia and Waxahachie campuses of Navarro College. He was a deacon and men's Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church in Corsicana, and was a member of the Navarro County Water Board and Navarro College presidential search committee.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Boyer Whiteside of Corsicana, whom he married in 1952; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Cheryl Whiteside of Grayslake, Ill.; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and John Fitch of Morgantown, W.V. and Sherri and Troy Pyron of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Charles H. Whiteside of Kilgore and Mr. and Mrs. Darwin L. Whiteside of Royse City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James R. Whitfill

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Keever Chapel.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church in Ennis with the Rev. Fred Caldwell as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Mr. Whitfill was born May 31, 1922 in Alma, the son of Richard and Alice Whitfill. He was reared in Alma and was a graduate of Alma and Ennis High schools. On Sept. 6, 1945 he married Winnie Watkins of Ennis. After their marriage they lived in Alma. They moved to Ennis for a short time before returning to Alma. He was engaged in farming and also worked at the Alma Gin. He retired as a tile contractor. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the SPJST.
Mr. Whitfill is survived by his wife, Winnie Whitfill of Ennis; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Lisa Whitfill of Ennis; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rex Waldrop, Susan and Ronnie Slovak and Cindy and Joe Bouldin, all of Ennis; brother, Windell Whitfill of Dallas; sister, Helen Fowler of Alma; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret Whitley was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Black Hills, Navarro County, to James Heath Jr. and Clara Mae Knight Blake. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Rufus Whittenburg, 50, who died Saturday in the Temple VA Hospital will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Purdon where he had lived most of his life. He was a native of Navarro County.
The Rev. David Kimberly and the Rev. Obie Barton will officiate. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery.
A farmer he was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of Purdon: a daughter, Glenda of Purdon, a son, Gaylon of Purdon, his mother, Mrs. Mollie Whittenburg of Purdon, and a sister Mrs. Johnnie Bailey of Nederland.

Rev. S. L. Whitworth The Rev. S. L. Whitworth, 65, of Hawley died Sunday at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Marvin Haile and David Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Whitworth was born in Corsicana and grew up in Bryan. He moved to Abilene in 1953 and to Hodges in 1986. He retired after pastoring Bible Pentecostal Church for several years and working for the city of Abilene for 28 years. He was a member of Bible Chapel Church. He married Doris Meador in 1951 in Houston.
Survivors include his wife of Hodges; four daughters, Rita McDougal of Hodges, Carol Hudson and LaDonna Wilson, both of Abilene, and Linda Finch of Hawley; one son, Samuel Paul Whitworth of Abilene; one brother, James Whitworth of Beasley; and 12 grandchildren.

Mrs. Wiggins was born Sept. 11, 1919 in Grandview. She was a faithful member of Trinity Christian Fellowship Church of Corsicana. She was a factory worker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Wiggins, Sr; son, Franklin W. Wiggins; four brothers; one sister; and two granddaughters..
Mrs. Wiggins is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Carl Atchley, Robbie and Ronnie Lee, and Mary Lewis, all of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sue Wiggins of Mildred; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Charlie Williams of Corsicana; 25 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BROWNWOOD - Bonnie Belle Wigley, 81, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mrs. Wigley was born in Kerens and moved to Brownwood in 1952. She was secretary at Northwest Elementary School for 15 years and a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. She married Albert Wigley in 1941 in Waco.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; two sons, David Alan Wigley of Crosbyton and Donald Burt Wigley of Dallas; four sisters, Johnnie Jo Blanton of New Braunfels, Maxine McClanahan of Baton Rouge, La., and Frieda Browning and Ruth Hadaway, both of Waco; and three grandchildren.

HILLSBORO — Services for Jerry W. Wilbourn, 44, of Abbott will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Happy Cemetery in Happy under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Hillsboro.
He died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001.
He was born June 20, 1956, in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1974 and from West Texas State University in 1978. He married Mary Ann Sims on Dec. 17, 1976, in Happy. He taught and coached in the Hereford Independent School District from 1978 to 1981.
In 1981 he began a nearly 20-year association with the Texas Farm Bureau and Southern Farm Bureau Insurance Cos. He worked as an agent in Parmer County from 1981 to 1983 and as agency manager in Mitchell and Nolan counties from 1983 to 1993.
In 1993, he became agency manager for Hill and Navarro counties, where he worked until his death.
He was active in the Hill County Fair and as an adult leader for the Abbott 4-H Club. He volunteered as a defensive statistician for the Abbott High School football team and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerret and Brant, both of Hillsboro; his parents, Wayne and Naomi of Lubbock; and a sister, Lynne Brown of Euless.
The family suggests memorials to the Jerry Wilbourn Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens National Bank, P.O. Box 404, Hillsboro, TX 76645.

Coma Allie Wilcox was born May 9, 1903, in Corbet. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest Hill. She and Virgil Rufus Wilcox were married Aug. 9, 1918, in Corsicana. He preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1987.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Olgesby officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 13, 1924 in Frost. She graduated from Frost High School in 1940. She married Vant Williams June 2, 1944 in Dallas. Their son was born in Corsicana while Mr. Williams was overseas during World War II and their daughter was born four years later in Dallas. When Mr. Williams returned to active duty at the onset of the Korean War, they lived in various parts of the United States, returning to Texas in 1960. They moved to Blooming Grove in 1963 where Mrs. Williams became very active in the community and school, continuing these activities even after their daughter's graduation.
Until she suffered a stroke in 1994, Mrs. Williams was very active in the Navarro County Historical Society and served as hostess at Pioneer Village in Corsicana on the weekends. She and Mr. Williams lived in their home in the Brushie Prairie community at Navarro Mills Lake until she became very ill in December 2000, at which time they became residents at Spring Season Nursing Home in Elkhart. She loved having her family and friends around her and was always there to lend a helping hand and a kind word.
She is survived by her husband, Vant Williams Jr. of Blooming Grove; daughter, Bettye Jean Freels and husband Ron of Buffalo; son, Vant Williams III and wife Lela of Elkhart; brother, Thomas Elvis Jarrett of Garland; grandson, Lt. Darrell Cobb of Corsicana; granddaughters, Trish Ensey and Traci Roberson, both of Palestine, and Tammy Ledford of Leona; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Williams died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, in a Vernon hospital.
He was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Corsicana. He married Lillie Bell Yost on July 3, 1937, in Vernon. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and former song leader.
He served in the Civil Conservation Corps, and he was a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center. He retired from Lone Star Gas Co. in 1973.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Johnny Ray and Ted, both of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

She was born March 22, 1925, in Corsicana. She moved to Snyder from Colorado
City in November 1998. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Veterans of Foreign Wars. A daughter, Barbara Green, died in 1989.

Rev. Waldo Williams, 81, of Dallas, died on Dec. 28, 1996. He is a native of Schulenberg and pastored in Alaska and California before retiring in Port Lavaca, Texas. Funeral services are Thursday at Good Street Baptist Church in Dallas, with burial following at Woodland Cemetery in Corsicana. Rev. Anita J. Williams, 65, of Van passed away Friday, March 31, 2000 in a Tyler hospital.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. at Hilliard Funeral Home in Van.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hilliard Funeral Chapel in Van with Bro. Sam Sidders and Dr. Leonard Molone officiating.

Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 28, 1934 in Emmett to Paul L. Kilgore and Mammie Dunigan Kilgore. She attended school in Corsicana. Upon marrying Desmond L. Williams on April 2, 1952, they moved to Odessa where they reared a family of two boys and three girls. She lived the past eight years in Van. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of VAn, the Church of Christ ladies Bible Class, Eastern Star, was a volunteer for Senior Citizens and Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Lynn; and parents, Paul L. Kilgore and Mammie Dunigan Kilgore.

Services for Gladys L. Williams, 79, of Tool, were 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, in Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel, Seven Points, with the Rev. Craig Wheeler and the Rev. Shawn Bailey officiating.
A private interment followed at Southland Memorial Park in Grand Prairie, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points.
Mrs. Williams died Feb. 9, 2001, in a Kaufman hospital.
A former resident of Grand Prairie and Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Dawson, to Henry Wesley and Willis Ethel Smith-Tune. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tool. She married Willy Marvin Johnson Sept. 21, 1943, in Dallas. Mr. Williams preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1991. Mrs. Williams married Lloyd Williams Aug. 13, 1994 in Canton. Mr. Williams preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1994. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her children, Harold Lloyd Hurst in 1939 and Rose Marie Hurst in 1940 and brothers, J. W. Tune and Marion Wesley Tune.
Survivors include children and their spouses; Kerry and Marilyn Hurst of Flagstaff, Ariz., Linda and Jim Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., Marvin Eugene "Gene" and Nylene Johnson of Hugoton, Kan., Sandra and Craig Wheeler of Honolulu, Hawaii, Robert Johnson of Florida, Christy and Dana Plourde of Rochester, N. April 13, 1911 - Dec 27, 1998 J. O. Williams, 87, of Frost passed away Sunday, Dec. 27 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Frost Baptist Church, with Jim Baggett and Joe Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow at Frost Cemetery. Mr. Williams' body will lie in state at the church today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mr. Williams was born on April 13, 1911 in Aquilla. He was on of the Frost's most prominent residents, serving as mayor for 36 years and also as municipal judge and school board president in Frost. Mr. Williams was a leader in the cotton industry. In 1972 he received the Horace Hayden Memorial Award for Cotton Ginner of the Year. Mr. Williams was a lifetime member of the Texas Cotton Ginners Association and served as president of the Texas Independent Cotton Ginner Association and the Texas Cotton Ginners Association. He was one of the founders of Volunteer Purchasing Group Inc. Mr. Williams is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Karen Williams of Frost; stepson Larry Vandavier of Frost; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Mike McMinn of Waxahachie; stepdaughter Carol Harris and her husband Mike of Belton; sister Frances Hickman of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elzee in 1965 and second wife, Estelle, in 1998.

Jimmie Williams, 84, of Dallas (formerly of Frost), passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at a Veterans Administration hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Taylor Chapel Baptist Church in Frost with the Rev. October Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Frost Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born Dec. 28, 1916, in Flukersville. He was a deacon of Miracle Revivial Center Church of Dallas. He served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 25, 1941, to Feb. 3, 1944, and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran Oakcliff Branch 32 of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Williams and Lucy Fletcher Williams; wife, Minnie Rose Williams; three sons and five brothers.

He gave of himself unselfishly and rewrote the definition of honesty.
He was an equipment operator.

("Winnie"). Winnie was born July 15, 1914 in Kerens, Texas, and passed away on November 12, 2000, at age 86, in Irving, Texas. Winnie was the daughter of Arthur and Allyne Weeks, of Corsicana, Texas who preceded her in death. She was the loving wife of William Merle Williamson, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Bill and Suzanne Williamson, of Ormond Beach, Florida, Kathy Sanders, of Tyler, Texas, Cecil and Glenda Fulmer, of Irving; by her grandchildren Kelly and Aaron Steines, of Fairfax, Virginia, Julie and Mike Harper of Whitehouse, Texas, LeAnne Fulmer, of Azle, Texas, and Mark Fulmer, of Irving, Texas: and by her great grandchildren Jacob and Kayleigh Harper, of Whitehouse, Texas, Ashley and Russell Sanders, of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Glynn Coates Weeks, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Winnie previously worked for K. Wolens Department Store in Corsicana when she married and left in 1940 to become a homemaker and mother. The family moved to Irving in 1951, when Merle began work for Chance Vought. Winnie and her family were members of of First Baptist Church of Irving, where she taught preschool age children for many years. Her love for God and His beautiful world led her into painting and membership in the Irving Art Association. "Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. LEVELLAND (Special) - Graveside services for Mable Self Williamson, 82, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. today in the City of Levelland Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Ainsworth, associate pastor of Church on the Rock, officiating.
Services are under direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
She died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, at her residence.
She was born June 2, 1915, in Corsicana. She moved to Lubbock from Cross Plains in 1985. She married Raymond Edward Self on Feb. 1, 1933, in Levelland. He died Oct. 16, 1976. She married Dan Hugh Williamson on Aug. 30, 1979, in Levelland. He died March 19, 1985. She was a member of Church on the Rock in Lubbock, and she was a founding member of Levelland Foursquare Gospel Church.
She was an underwater welder in World War II, and she later owned a laundry.
Survivors include a son, Gary Self of Lubbock; a daughter, Beverly Perdue of Lubbock; two brothers, Elton Wyatt of Littlefield and Landis Wyatt of Cypress; two sisters, Cora Finley of Brownfield and Ruby Nichols of Bakersfield, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Willie Lee "Bill" Wilson

ODESSA - Willie Lee "Bill" Wilson, 72, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born in Purdon on May 7, 1928, to Jonus Murphy and Rhoda White-Wilson. He served in the U.S. Navy from April 10, 1946, to Jan. 13, 1948, serving most of his term at NAS Ford Island, Hawaii, where he worked as an aviation mechanic. He attained the rank of seaman first class.
He married Eula Nell Norton on May 22, 1948, in Waxahachie and had four children.
He worked most of his life as a rock bit retipper and was known as one of the best in his trade. He began his career with Varel Manufacturing Company in Dallas. Later, he worked for Walker McDonald Bit Company at several locations and then retired while working for WFJ Drilling Tools Inc. in Odessa.
His wife, Eula Nell, preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 1993.
He is survived by his son, Jack Wilson of Odessa; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and John Link of Odessa and Darlene and Dennis Sarrell of Hobbs, N.M.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Corina Wilson of Odessa; brothers, James, Larry and Roger Wilson, all living in East Texas; sisters, Ruth Judge, Linda Armour and Kathy Bennett, all of East Texas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He retired in 1998 after 20 years of local practice. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie and was currently a member of the United Methodist Church in Maud. He was awarded a life membership in the International Association of Lions Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by a grandson, John Benjamin Wilson, in 1999. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1933 with a bachelor of science degree in education. He was the past Grand Master of Odd Fellows and owned Woods Paint and Paper until 1960. He retired from Gibsons Discount in 1975. He was a resident of Lubbock since 1920.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Worsham was born May 6, 1908 in Frost to Della Scott and Malvin Keathley. She graduated from Barry High School and received teaching certification from North Texas State College. In 1930, she married Joe Worsham of Barry. After working in a defense plant in World War II, she moved with her husband and children to Corsicana. She served as secretary at Eleventh Avenue Methodist Church and later St. Luke United Methodist Church until she retired after 35 years. She was a charter member of the Navarro County Historical Society as well as the Genealogy Society. She and her brother, Malvin Keathley, spent more than 10 years surveying cemeteries in Navarro County. Mrs. Worsham was also a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She was a lifelong quilt maker and received numerous awards including blue ribbons from the State Fair of Texas.
Mrs. Worsham is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Madge and Bill Walters of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Don and Margaret Worsham of Ozark, Ala.; granddaughters, Mary Doyle and Ambry Worsham of Ozark; grandsons, Jonathan Walters of Garland, Jeffrey Walters of Dallas, James Walters of Allen, Peter Worsham of Ozark, Robb Archer of Huntsville, Ala., Joe Don Worsham Jr. of Mt.  Jerry Worsham, Barry native and longtime Snyder High School drama director, passed away on May 15, 2000 in Lubbock.
Services will be held Friday, May 19, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Burial will be in Pattison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Griffin-Roughton. A public memorial service will also be held at Scurry County Coliseum in Snyder on Saturday, June 17, 2000 at 3:00 p.m.
A graduate of the University of North Texas, Worsham began his long teaching career at Corsicana High School. He left Corsicana to serve his country in the United States Navy during the early 1960’s, and moved to Snyder in 1966. At Snyder, Worsham led his students to a record in 13 state championships in one-act play competition, earning a distinction as the most successful theater director in U.I.L. history. In fact, Worsham’s record is unmatched by any coach or director of any sport or activity in Texas interscholastic history.
Jerry’s father Raymond and identical twin brother James, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Geneva Worsham of Barry; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond Lee and Jody Worsham of Nacogdoches and Charles and Gilda Worsham of Barry; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Rayneva and Aubry Marr and Patsy and Raymond Gorden of Barry and Sarah Hinkle of Fort Worth; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by an extensive “Snyder family” of current and former students who participated in his drama programs.

Mrs. Wren was born April 25, 1920 in Clay County, Ala. She was raised in Ranger and moved to Hubbard in 1937. She married Melburn Wren Aug. 21, 1940 in Dawson. She was a retired seamstress for Kreditor Manufacturing in Hubbard. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother.

McDaniel Wrever, born Dec. 17, 1902, in Freestone County, was a longtime member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church. She had recently been a member of Birdville Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sons, T. J. and Jerry McDaniel, and grandsons, Mike and Patrick McDaniel. Annie Mae (Luther) Wright Annie Mae Wright, 92, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at Ennis Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at J. E. Keever Mortuary.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Keever Chapel with the Rev. David Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright was born Feb. 17, 1909 in Navarro County. She was raised in Emhouse
and was a graduate of Rankin High School. She then attended North Texas Women's University where she earned her teaching degree. On Sept. 3, 1934 she married Henry Marvin. Mr. Marvin preceded her in death on May 5, 1982. On Nov. 19, 1987 she married T. Taft Wright. She was employed as a secretary for Ennis Business Forms. She also worked for Ables, the Golden Circle and the Ennis Daily News. Mr. Wright preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1990. She was a member of Baylor Baptist Church, the IOOF and the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her brother, David Luther Sr. of Whitney; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Alma Alene Wright CORSICANA -- Alma A. Wright, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at a Corsicana retirement home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Russell Bankes Jr., of North Beaton Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial: New Pursley Cemetery.

Miss Alma A. Wright was born Dec. 16, 1913, in Pursley. She attended Neilson Beauty College in Dallas. After graduation, she returned to Corsicana, and worked with her two sisters who had their own shop in their home. During World War II, she went to Los Angeles, Calif., and worked at Douglas Aircraft Plant. After the war was over, she returned to Texas, and worked at the Republic Bank in Dallas, and Stripling Dept. Store in Fort Worth. Miss Wright finished her career at Texas Christian University as a secretary. She was there about 30 years before retiring. She lived in her own home across the street from TCU until two years ago, when she moved to Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana. Miss Wright was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, and has now gone to be with the Lord.
Survivors: Brother, Elven Wright of Corsicana; sisters, Velma Newman of Corsicana, Zelma Swain of Fort Worth, Gaynelle Gray of Tyler, Erma Christianson of Port Orchard, Wash., and Verna Gray of Mt. Homes, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Yelinek was born June 17, 1929 in Stephenville to Robert and Adell Connelly. She graduated from Tarleton State College. She worked as a secretary for an engineering company.

He died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, in a local hospital.
He was born July 3, 1923, in Frost. He married Clara Gregori June 6, 1949, in Fort Benton, Mont. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a chief master sergeant on Dec. 31, 1962, after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Air Force Association and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Joyce Baumann of Big Spring and Carla of Merrifield, Minn.; two sisters, Freda Greenfield and Lee Milliken of Coahoma; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

PLAINVIEW (Special) Services for Frances Sophronia Zeigler, 75, of Plainview will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Shepherd, former pastor, officiating and the Rev. Connie Nieto, pastor, assisting.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under direction of Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, August 11, 1999, in Plainview.
She was born July 31, 1924, in Grape Creek. She attended schools in Corsicana and later moved to Slaton where she graduated from high school in 1941. She worked for the Slaton newspaper, the Slatonite, and attended Texas Tech. She married Roland S. Zeigler Jr. on Oct. 8, 1944, in Chandler, Ariz. She and her husband owned and operated The Camera Shop from 1950-1988. She was a longtime member of Grace Presbyterian Church, where she was the historian.

Frances Sophronia Zeigler, 75, of Plainview passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, in Plainview.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Don Shepherd of Albuquerque, N.M., former pastor of the church, officiating and with the Rev. Connie Nieto, pastor, assisting. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park.
The youngest daughter of Lillian and Dave Crowther, she was born July 31, 1924 at Grape Creek near Corsicana. She attended in Corsicana, later moving to Slaton where she graduated from Slaton High School in 1941. She worked at the
Slaton newspaper, The Slatonite, and attended Texas Tech University where she was a member of Sans San Soucci Social Society.
First residing in Plainview in the late 1920s when her father was involved in several brick construction projects in the city, she returned during World War II as an employee of Southwestern Public Service Company. It was in Plainview she met her future husband, Roland S. Zeigler Jr. They married Oct. 8, 1944 at Williams Field in Chandler, Ariz. She later worked for Texas A&M University in College Station and Consolidated Aircraft in Fort Worth.
She and her husband founded The Camera Shop, which operated in Plainview from 1950 to 1988. She also served as secretary-treasurer of Zeiglers Camera Shop, Inc.
She was a longtime member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she served as church historian. She was also active in the Presbyterian Womens Organization. She had been a member of the Plainview Junior Service League and Junior Delphin Sorority.
Mrs. Zeigler was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Meriwether; and brothers, Neal Crowther and Jack Crowther.
Survivors include her husband, Roland S. Zeigler Jr.; son, Gordon Zeigler of Plainview; daughter, Susan Slaughter of Plainview; grandson, Matthew Blackerby; and granddaughters, Erin and Katy Zeigler, all of Plainview.
