Biography - Cheney Family

This is a picture of the Cheney Family at their home in Corsicana . Marie Lucile Cheney was my grandmother who lived to age 90 and passed away in 1980. I have tried to label the picture as to who each is including my great grandparents , John and Eliza "Lida" Vannerson Cheney and Jasper Newton Cheney , my g.g. Grandfather.

Just a little more history about the picture I sent you of the Cheney Family. Jasper Newton Cheney's obit. is listed on your website . He was a prominent doctor of the late 1800's and early 1900's. Aubrey Cheney, my great uncle, died in the epidemic of influenza in 1918. Eliza Vannerson Cheney was a homemaker and wrote articles in the Boston Sun regarding genealogy. I've yet to go look any of them up. As I told you this morning, my name is Michael Hart. My paternal family is Ira Ernest and Mamie Hart ( g.parents ). Ira is the Hart part of the Garrett , his brother in law , in the Garret - Hart store picture recently posted on the website. He died in 1914 of tuberculosis leaving Mamie Horn Hart his widow with 3 children, my father being the youngest at age 3. My two aunts are still living. I can send many pictures but I don't know how in depth of pictures of individuals you want. Very few others depict structures or scenes from Corsicana. The last person in my family to actually live in Corsicana is my aunt , Lela Hart Douglas who left about 1990. She will celebrate her 100th. birthday this August in Alabama with her daughter Joan Douglas Bowling. ... Thanks , Michael Hart
