CORSICANA DAILY SUN, 40th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Warren G. Clarkston (Dorothy Barham) were honored November 21st on their 40th wedding anniversary in their home in Corsicana. Hosting the event were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rice and Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Bottoms and four grandchildren. The Clarkston’s lived in Blooming Grove for several years after they were married in 1942. Warren served in the U.S. Army five years, then later went to work for Texaco, Inc., from which he retired after 28 years. The Clarkston’s lived in Nederland for 19 years and now reside in Corsicana. They are members of the First Christian Church. Guests attended came from Houston, Pearland, Pt. Neches, Gilmer, Gainsville, Shreveport, Irvin, Dallas, Richardson, Corsicana, and Blooming Grove

FUNERAL HOME NOTICE: Warren's funeral was held Thursday, March 27, 1986 at 2:00 P.M. at Corley Funeral Home Chapel, in Corsicana, Texas with Rev. E. A. Jordan officiating. He was then transported for interment to the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, Jefferson Co. Texas. Pallbearers were Kenneth Barham, James R. Fuller, Norman Stubbs, Jason Bottoms, Gordon Griffin, Kenneth Wylie, Mark Hambrick, James Wolf, Bill Gilliam, John Rice.
