CORSICANA, Texas, March 1. - Alfred F. Hatley, 86, who is
survived by ninety living descendants died here Tuesday night.
A native of Arkansas, he had lived at Blooming Grove and Corsicana
many years.
Surviving are six sons, W. A. Hatley, San Antonio; J. J.
Hatley, Stamford; M. D., E. L. and J. M. Hatley all of Dallas; and
B. V. Hatley, Corsicana; four daughters, Mrs. Inez Spurriar,
Corsicana; Mrs. Tulia Anderson, Pursley; Mrs. Maud Malcolm,
Pittsburg, and Mrs. Effie McGee, Blooming Grove; thirty
grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren and four
great-great-grandchildren.

Alfred F. Hatley Funeral Services Held On Thursday
Funeral services for Alfred F. Hatley, 86, who is survived by 90 living
descendants, were held Thursday morning from the Corley Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in the Rose Hill
cemetery in Blooming Grove.
Hatley, a native of Arkansas, but long-time resident of Blooming Grove
and Corsican, died here late Tuesday night following an extended
illness. He was a retired shoe shop owner and farmer.
Surviving are six sons, W. A. Hatley, San Antonio; J. J. Hatley,
Stamford; M. D., E.L. and J. M. Hatley, all of Dallas; and B.V. Hatley,
Corsicana; four daughters, , Mrs. Inez Spurrier, Corsicana; Mrs. Tulia
Anderson, Pursley; Mrs. Maud Malcolm, Pittsburg, and Mrs. Effie MaGee,
Blooming Grove; 30 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and other
relatives.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

for Alfred Flower Hatley: Story is told that Alfred went home to Arkansas when his daddy died. He stayed quite a while. Some speculate that he was
