Edmond Howard Poole was born October 5, 1885, near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was the first of nine children born to William Cameron and Sarah Jane Ratliff Poole. His family came to Texas in 1900, where they farmed in the Silver City area in Navarro County Texas. Edmond married Cora Billie Thomas, daughter of Joseph Bell Thomas and Lucy Ellen Rambo, on Aug 13, 1910 in
Navarro County Texas. Joseph and Lucy Thomas came Loudon, Tennessee in 1888 and settled in Dresden, Navarro County, Texas. Joseph was a farmer and came to own a large amount of land in the area.

Bille (Thomas) Poole's obituary) Ed and Billie Poole spent a few years farming between Silver City and Dawson, just south of the present Highway 31. After the birth of their first two children, they moved into Corsicana where Ed worked for Drane and McKee Garage and with Sears until he retired. Ed and Billie had four children: Alice Lorene Poole, b. Aug 26, 1911, married Alvin Andrew Berryhill (1909-1977) on Oct 14, 1928 in Navarro County Texas. Alvin was the son of Andrew Jackson (1874-1934) & Lillie
Belle (Adams) Berryhill (1880-1952). Alvin and Alice had two children, Kenneth Alvin Berryhill and Glenda Joy Berryhill who married Donald Ray Houser. Alvin died on Oct 7, 1977 and Alice died on Aug 16, 1982. They are both buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana. Alvin's Obituary; Alice's Obituary Howard "Doc" Poole, b. Aug 20, 1913, married Gladys Vivian Miller (1915-2001) on Sept 17, 1971 in Navarro County Texas. (I don't know if he was married previously). Howard attended Corsicana Schools. He entered entered served with the US Army during World War II where he served in
the Pacific.. Howard died on Aug 9, 1978 in Navarro County and Gladys died on Nov 15, 2001 in Corsicana, Navarro County Texas. They are both buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana. (See WWII Biography) Wilma Jo Poole was born on Oct 20, 1920 and married a Mr. Martin., also married to L. J. Reeves with two sons, Gary Lee and Billie Dan Reeves, and also
married Billy Joe Renfro in 1949. Ralph Thomas Poole was born on May 24, 1925 and married Gertrude Lavon Martin on Sept 25, 1949 in Ward County Texas. Ralph attended Corsicana High School, Class of 1943. He entered the service during World War II in 1943 and trained with the infantry at Camp Fannin. (See WWII Biography) Billie Poole died on Oct 3, 1939 and Edmond died on Oct 29, 1959 in Navarro County Texas. They are both buried at the
Dresden Cemetery in Navarro County Texas.

OBITUARY
Ed Poole Dies Earl Tuesday
Ed Poole, 74, retired planning mill employe, died Tuesday morning at
his home, 501 South Fourteenth street.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the Corley
Chapel with burial in the
Dresden Cemetery.
The rites will be conducted by Rev. A. J. Kirkland, Baptist minister
of Henderson, and Rev. Clarence Williams, pastor of the Second
Avenue Baptist church.
Surviving are his wife of Corsicana; two sons, Howard Poole, Pecos,
and Ralph T. Poole, Angleton; two daughters, Mrs. L. J. Reeves and
Mrs. A. A. Berryhill, both of Corsicana; nine grandchildren, three
brothers, I. C. Poole, Corsicana; Luke Poole, Chandler and Gene
Poole, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. John Osteen,
Purdon; Mrs. Annie Dockery and Mrs. Jewell Green, both of Chandler,
and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be F. L. Leathers, Otis Atkeisson, William Slate,
Willard Staggs, Cody Beaver and Billy Rash.
