William M. Seever, brother in law to Robert G. Lewis and brother to Elizabeth Seever Lewis.  William was born in Fleming County, KY. in 1833.  He stated on his pension application that he came to Texas in 1856. He enlisted in the Confederate Army April 4, 1862. He served as a Private in Company G., 8 Regiment Texas Cavalry for the duration of the war. ( He never married and was listed on the 1870 census as living in his sisters household.)  He came back home to live in Corsicana, Texas until he was admitted to the Confederate Veterans Home in Austin, Texas, September 25, 1904.  He died there at the age of 74 and was buried in theTexas State Cemetery in Austin, Travis Co., TX in the Confederate Section: Field, Section 2, Row: M Number 5.  He received Confederate Pension #9735
