Turner Adelaide Read. Luther Johnson was a U.S. Congressman from

grandfather His wife, Ruth Robinson passed away in 2007 in Arlington Heights, IL
and is buried by his side in Oakwood Cemetary in Raleigh, NC . He is survived by
two of his daughters, Jill McCain(my mother) who resides in Bennington, VT and
Ann Swindell who resides in Arlington Heights, IL, 8 grandchildren and 7 great
grand children. His Youngest daughter, Lynn Pendergraft, passed away in 1990. I
don't know the exact details however I know that Cowin graduated from Sterling
College in Sterling, KS, earned his Masters Degree from the University of Kansas
and earned a
PhD. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. I'm unsure of
exact dates however, my mother lived in Massachusetts and Wisconsin prior to
settling in North Carolina in the late 40's or early 50's where Cowin was a
Chemistry Professor at North Carolina State University until he retired in the
