Pfc. Esla L. Gunn, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Gunn, Wortham, attended Wortham High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Amphibian Tractor Battalion at Camp Polk, La., and Fort Ord, California.  Has served in Hawaii, Leyte Okinawa now on duty in Okinawa.  Has Expert Rifleman's Badge.

Gunter, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Evelyn Clargy, graduate of Corsicana and attended S.M.U.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Ellington Field, and Sacramento, California.  Now on duty at Greenwood, Mississippi in Public Relations Office.
GUNTER, JOHNNIE E.
Sgt. Johnnie E. Gunter, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Gunter, Corsicana.  Entered Army March 3, 1942, trained at Camp Bowie and Camp Pickett, Va.  Has served in Northern Ireland, England, France, Belgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia, now on duty in Germany.  Has 5 Battle Stars.

Pvt. Newell Hagle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Hagle, Dawson, husband of the former Miss Bonnie Sue Horn, graduate of Dawson. Entered service 1944, trained with Army Infantry at Camp Hood and Fort Ord, Cal. Served overseas, wounded in Okinawa, 1945. Has Purple Heart

Doolittle in the European Theater now on duty with the Army of Occupation.  Has D.F.C. and other Air Medals.

Haley, husband of the former Miss Merilyn Loop, graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered the service in 1942, trained with Navy at San Diego and Chicago.  Served as Aviation Store Keeper in Pacific Area.  Now on duty at Treasure Island, San Francisco.
