BARRON, J. NEWTON
Sgt. J. Newton Barron, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Barron, wife is the former Alta Wheelock, attended Oklahoma Schools. Entered service in 1942, training in the Air Corps at Tarrant Field, Ft. Worth, Tex. Served in N. Africa and is now stationed in Italy.

BARTLETT, ROBERT STEVE
Chief Robert Steave Bartlett, son of Mrs. L. G. Buchanan, and husband of former Rita McGee.  Attended Richland Schools.  Entered the Seabees in 1942, training at Norfolk, Va. Served at New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, New Zealand, and is now on duty at Guam.

GM 1/C Buford H. Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Barton, and husband of former Mildred Keener, attended school at Blooming Grove.  Entered the Navy Reserves in 1942, training at Treasure Island and Great Lakes.  Served in Alaska and Panama.  Now on duty in Pacific.

Pfc. Oran M. Bason, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Bason, husband of Former Geneva North, attended Slay Schools.  Entered the Air Corps in 1942, training at New Orleans, Tampa, Fla.  Served at England, France and Germany.  Now enroute home.  Has the bronze Star and 9 Campaign Stars.

S 1/C Robert R. Bason, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Bason, graduated from Frost Schools.  Entered the Navy in 1943, training at San Diego, Norman, Okla. and Hollister, Calif.  Now on duty in the South Pacific.
BASS, ALFORD LAVON
S 2/C Alford Lavon Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Bass, and husband of the former Doris Jean Lenoir.  Graduate of Hubbard High School. Entered the Navy in 1945, training at San Diego, Calif.  Now on duty at Naval Air Technical Training Center, Norman, Okla., attending Aviation Metalsmith School.
BASS, CHARLIE R.
M/Sgt. Charlie R. Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bass, and husband of former Margaret Harrell, attended Corsicana Schools. Entered the Army in 1941, training at Ft. Sill, Camp Swift, Camp Bowie, and Camp Hood. Served in England, France, Belgium, and is now on duty in Germany.

Pfc. Richard F. Bass, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bass, attended Zions Rest School. Entered the Army in 1941, training in the Infantry at Ft. Leonard Wood, Camp San Luis, Obispo. Served at New Guinea, Dutch New Guinea and Luzon. Now on duty somewhere in Philippines.

Pfc. Floyd P. Batchelor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie L. Batchelor.  Attended Streetman and St. Elmo Schools.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with the Air Corps at Miami, Fla., Madison, Wis., Denver, Col., Spokane, Wash, Perra, S.D., Salina Kan.  Served on Guam.

Pfc. Hubert H. Batchelor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie L. Batchelor.  Attended Streetman Schools.  Entered service in 1942.  Trained with the Air Corps at Mobile Ala., and Miami, Fla.  Served in Australia, New Guinea, Philippines.  Now on duty in Leyte.  Has Presidential Citation.

T/Sgt. Jesse J. Batchelor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Batchelor, attended Streetman School.  Wife, the former Julia Mae Hartt.  Entered service, 1940.  Trained with the Army at Ft. Bliss, Camp Funston and Ft. Knox.  Served in England, France, Germany.  Now discharged.

S/Sgt. Wallace M. Bates, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Bates, Corsicana.  Attended Corsicana and Ranger Junior College.  Entered service, 1941, training with Quartermasters Corps at Ft. Sam Houston.  Served in Trinidad, S. America.  Has ETO Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal.  Now on duty in France.
BAUMGARTNER, JOE D.
Pvt. Joe D. Baumgartner, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Baumgartner of Corsicana.  Graduated from Corsicana High School and entered service Sept., 1944.  Trained with the Engineers at Camp Claiborne, La., and at Ft. Lewis, Washington.  Now overseas.

Cpl. Derward N. Baxter, son of Mrs. Opal Baxter, Kerens, attended Kerens High School.  Entered Air Corps June 16, 1942.  Trained at Buckley Field, Colorado, and Lowery Field, Colo.
BEALE, ROBERT E.
Pvt. Robert E. Beale, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Beale, graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered the Army 1944, training at Camp Fannin.  Served in England, France, Belgium and in Germany.  Awarded Purple Heart Heart.  Killed in Luxembourg Jan 28, 1945.
BEALE, ELLIOTT H.
1st Lt. Elliott H. Beale, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Beale.  Wife the former Fayrine Barron of Corsicana.  Graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered service in Nov., 1940.  Trained at Brownwood, Camp Blanding, Fla., Ft. Sill, Okla. and Camp McCoy, Wis.  Served in Northern Ireland, England and France.  Awarded Air Medal and Purple Heart.  Killed June 11, 1944 at LeMay, France.
BEAMAN, BENJAMIN LEE ROY
FSC Benjamin L. R. Beaman, son of B. H. Beaman, Kerens, wife the former Frances Lusford. Entered the Navy Nov., 1942.  Trained at USNS, San Diego, Calif.  Served on New Caledonia and Solomons.  Now on duty at USNR.  Awarded Purple Heart and overseas Ribbon.
BEAMAN, JOSEPH H (JACK)
S 1/C Joseph (Jack) Beaman, son of B. H. Beaman, Kerens, attended Kerens High School.  Entered the Navy, 1943, training at Rod Field, Tex.  San Bruno, Calif.  Now on duty at Nevada.
