Pfc. James L. Phinny, son of Mr. R. H. Phinny, attended school at McCamey, Texas.  Entered the Army in 1942, trained at Ft. Sam Houston, Ft. Bliss, and Ft. Leonard Wood.  Served in the Pacific.  Now at Camp McQuaide, Calif.  Wears Theater Ribbon.
PHINNY, LUTHER R.
Pfc. Luther R. Phinny, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Blessing, attended Chatfield Schools.  Entered the Army Infantry in 1940, trained at Camp McCoy and Ft. Sam Houston.  Now in Germany with 3rd Army.  Wears Pre-Pearl Harbor Pin, Good Conduct Ribbon and Infantry Combat Badge.
PHINNY, HUGH S.
Sgt. Hugh S. Phinny, son of Mrs. J. D. Blessing, husband of the former Miss Mary Ann Jones, attended Pursley Schools.  Entered the service in 1937 as a Machine Gunner, trained at Ft. Sam Houston and Camp McCoy.  Served in England and France.  Wears Pre-Pearl Harbor Pin and Good Conduct Ribbon.  Now in England.
PHINNEY, EDWIN T.
S 1/C Edwin T. Phinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Phinney, attended Teague High School.  Entered the Navy in 1943, trained at San Diego and Washington.  Served in Marshall Islands, Pearl Harbor and Philippines.  Wears Pacific Theater Ribbon, 3 Major Battle Stars and Good Conduct Ribbon.

Cpl. Arnold D. Phinney, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Phinney, husband of the former Miss Frieda Egge, attended Teague Schools.  Entered the Army in 1940, trained at Ft. Sam Houston and Camp McCoy.  Served in Ireland, France, Holland, Bewlgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia.  Wounded in Belgium in 1944.  Received honorable discharge in June, 1945.  Has Good Conduct Ribbon, Pre-Pearl Harbor Pin, Purple Heart, Silver Star and Bronze Star.
PHILLIPS, HORACE D.
Pfc. Horace D. Phillips, son of Mrs. Daisy Burney, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered the Army Signal Corps April 6, 1944, trained at Camp Crowder, Mo., Camp Beale, Calif.  Served in New Guinea, Philippines, and is now stationed at Luzon.  Wears Theater Ribbon.
PHILLIPS, TOMMY
S 1/C Tommy Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Phillips, graduated from Kerens High School.  Entered the Navy in Feb. 1944, trained at Naval Training Station, San Diego, Calif.  Went overseas in Feb., 1944 and engaged in battles on Saipan, Philippine Islands and other Pacific battles.  Wounded in battle of Luzon, March 19, 1945.  Wears Theater Ribbon.
PHILLIPS, NORMAN G.
Cpl. Norman G. Phillips, son of O. V. Phillips and the late Lovie Smith Phillips, graduated from Amherst High School.  Entered the Army Signal Bn. in 1943, trained at Ft. Sill, Okla., Camp Roberts and Ft. Ord, Calif.  Served at New Hebrides, Caledonia and Guadalcanal.  Now on duty at Guadalcanal.  Awarded expert carbine medal and Theater Ribbon.
PHILLIPS, COY W.
Sgt. Coy W. Phillips, son of Mrs. Mossie Phillips Smith, graduated from Kerens High School and San Marcos Mil. Acdmy. Entered Air Corps in 1942, trained at Spartan Aeronautical School, Okla.  Served 26 months in England, Belgium and Italy attached to 8th and 15th Air Forces.  Reassigned to Peterson Field, Colo.  Awarded 7 Bronze Stars (Unit), 2 Presidential Citations and theater Ribbon.
PHILLIPS, CLAYTON J.
Ph M 2/C Clayton J. Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Phillips, husband of the former Miss Mildred Wilson, New Zealand, graduated from Kerens High School.  Volunteered for the Navy in 1941, trained at San Diego, Calif. and Great Lakes Station, Chicago, Ill.  Served on Samoa, New Hebrides and New Zealand.  Now on duty at Treasure Island, San Francisco.  Wears Theater Ribbons.

Sgt. John D. Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Phillips, Blooming Grove, attended Blooming Grove High School.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Army at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas.  Has served in European Theater and now on duty in France.
PHILLIPS, WILL ROY
S 1/C Will Roy Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Phillips, Blooming Grove, attended Blooming Grove Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Navy at San Diego.  Now on duty in South Pacific.

S 2/C Ruben L. Pierce, entered service, 1945, trained with Navy at Camp Peary, Virginia. Sent overseas, 1945, served in Pearl Harbor and Cuba, now on duty somewhere in Pacific.
PIERCE, FORREST N.
S 1/C Forrest N. Pierce, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugine Pierce, attended Corsicana High School.  Trained with Navy at San Francisco.  Has served in Solomon Islands, Guadalcanal, Saipan, and Luzon, now somewhere at sea.  Wounded on Luzon, has Purple Heart.
PIERCE, WALTER C.
Pvt. Walter C. Pierce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Pierce, Powell, attended Kerens School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at Camp Hood and now on duty in Japan.

Pfc. Thelma M. Pike, daughter of Mr. J. J. Pike and Mrs. Tennessee Pike, attended school in Kerens. Entered the WAC in 1943, trained at Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga. Now on duty at Bradley Field, Conn.
