C.D.T. U.S. Navy Virginia Hartzell Book, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hartzell. Married to Mac Book. Served as the first Dental Assistant on the Post at Camp Hood, in Sept 1942. Also first woman in Navy Leadership School and first woman instructor in Dental Prosthetics Technician School. Navy Training Center, San Diego, Calif.

WILLIAM KYLE BRIETZ
QM 3/C William Kyle Brietz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney K. Brietz. Husband of the former Cora Nell Stanley. Entered the U.S. Navy May 24, 1943, serving at Tulane Univ., New Orleans, La., Air Trans. Sqd. 4; Norman, Okla. / USN TADC, Williamsburg, Va.; FAW 15 Hedron, USN PFS, Athens, Ga.; NTC Great Lakes, Ill., US LCI (L) 701. Served in North Africa and the South Pacific. Honorably discharged May 14, 1946.

KARLTON C. BRINSON
Sgt. Karlton C. Brinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Brinson of Frost.  Attended Jones Ranch and Frost Schools.  Entered the Air Force Sept. 10, 1942. Serving as an Aircraft Maintenance Tech. with a fighter squadron in England, France, Belgium and Germany for one year and 7 months.  Spent 3 years in the service.
