CARTER, WINFRED H.
Pfc. Winfred H. Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Carter, McCamey, Wife is the former Doris Hartnett, graduate of Kermit Schools.  Entered the Army 1944, training at Ft. Bliss, Tex.  Served in Hawaiian Islands.  Now on duty at Okinawa.
CARTLIDGE, JOHNNIE A.
Pvt. Johnnie A. Cartlidge, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cartlidge, wife, the former Davie Lee Renfro.  Entered the Army in 1943, training at Camp Barkley General Hospital and hospitals in Colorado and California.  Now on duty in Manila.
CASKEY, CHARLIE
Cpl. Charlie L. Caskey, son of Mrs J. H. Caskey, entered service 1940, training with 2nd Div. 23rd Infantry at Ft. Sam Houston Camp McCoy. Landed in France D-Day. Served with 1st army. Has 5 Major Battle Stars and Presidential Citations.

CASKEY, J. W.
SK 2/C J.W. Caskey, son of Mrs J. H. Caskey, Corsicana, entered service in 1943, training at San Diego. Served in Aleutians two years. Is now on duty at Clearfield, Utah

Cpl. David S. Castles, son of Mrs. W. H. Castles, Corsicana.  Wife is the former Flora Mae Bounds.  Entered the Army in 1940, training at Camp Bowie, Camp Howze and Camp Claiborne.  Served in European Theater and is now in Germany.  Has Bronze Star.

Sgt. Joseph T. Castles, son of Mrs. W. H. Castles, Corsicana.  Entered the Army 1942, receiving discharge 1944.
CATES, DAVID M.
Pay Clerk David M. Cates, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Cates.  Wife the former Ruth Harwell.  Graduate of Kerens High School.  Also N.T.A.C.  Entered the Navy 1934, training at San Diego.  Served in the Pacific Theater, New Foundland, Iceland, Greenland, Brazil, China, Africa.  Now on duty aboard U.S.S. Altair.  Has Good Conduct Ribbon, American Defense Ribbon, American Theater Campaign with Bronze Star, European, African Ribbon with Bronze Star.
CATES, JOSEPH W.
Pvt. Joseph W. Cates, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Cates.  Attended Zions Rest School.  Entered the Army 1943, training at Camp Fannin.  Wounded in Germany, 1945.  Now a patient in hospital at Longview, Texas.  Has the Purple Heart.
CATON, TOMMIE B.
Cpl. Tommie B. Caton, son of Mr. Tom Caton, Corsicana.  Wife the former Helen Talley.  Entered Army Air Corps in 1942, training at Waco Army Flying School and Smyrna, Tenn. Air Base.  Is now on duty at Biloxi, Miss.

Pfc. Gilbert R. Caton, son of Mr. T. B. Caton, Corsicana.  Wife the former Eula Mae Portenfield.  Attended Corsicana High School.  Entered the Air Corps in 1942, training at Waco and Liberal, Kan.  Serves as Ground Crew Mechanic in Hawaii.  Has Good Conduct Medal.

Pvt. Buel H. Caton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Caton.  Wife, the former Ernie I. Daniel.  Entered service, 1943.  Trained in the Army Engineers at Camp Hood, Camp McCoy, and New York.  Served in European Theater.  Now on duty at Ft. Sam Houston.  Has Good Conduct, and Marksmanship Medal.

Pvt. Tom S. Chandler, son of Mrs. Ehtel Chandler, Streetman.  Attended Streetman High School.  Entered service 1939.  Trained with Air Corps at Kelly Field and Hamilton Field.  Was captured at the fall of Bataan, Philippine Islands.  Prisoner of War at Tokyo Camp, Japan.
CHANDLER, FRANKLIN A.
S 2/C Franklin A. Chandler, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Biddy, Corsicana.  Wife is the former Lucille Byrd.  Attended school in Corsicana.  Entered the Seabees in 1945 and trained at San Diego and Camp Parks, Calif.
CHANDLER, BUSTER M.
Pfc. Buster M. Chandler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chandler.  Wife the former Violet Cox.  Graduate of Corsicana.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with Air Corps at Waco, San Marcos, Frederick, Okla., Dodge City, Kan.  Now on duty at Frederick, Oklahoma.
CHANDLER, ARTHUR F.
Pvt. Arthur F. Chandler, son of Mrs. Lottie Bibby.  Wife the former Dolores Tuck Chandler. Attended Corsicana schools.  Trained with the Army at Camp Barkley, Camp Granite, Ft. Dix.  Served in England, France and Luxembourg.  Killed in action in Luxembourg, 1945.  Has Purple Heart and Silver Star.
CHANDLER, JOE P.
Pvt. Joe P. Chandler, son of Mrs. Lottie Bibby, Mineral Wells.  Wife, the former Ruby Robinson.  Attended school in Corsicana.  Entered the marines in 1942.  Trained at San Pedro, Calif.  Is now on duty in the South Pacific.
CHANDLER, JACK M.
A. S. Jack M. Chandler, son of Mrs. Lottie Bibby, Mineral Wells.  Wife, the former Wanda Reasoner.  Attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered the Navy in July, 1945, Training at San Diego, Calif.
CHANEY, J. D.
Cpl. J. D. Chaney, son of Mrs. Thelma Holloway, Corsicana.  Graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered the Air Corps in 1944.  Trained at Sheppard Field, Lincoln, Nebr., Laredo, Texas, Hastings, Neb.  Served in Pacific Theater and is now on duty at Saipan.

Sgt. Sanford L. Chambers, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Chambers.  Husband of former Melba F. Mayo.  Attended Drane School.  Mobilized with 36th Div., trained at Camp Bowie, Camp Edwards, Mass.  Engaged in N. Africa, ETO Campaigns.  Discharged June, 1945.  Awarded ETO Ribbon, Bronze Star, Purple Heart.  Wounded at San Pietro, Italy, Dec., 1943.

CHAMBLESS, CHARLES E.
T/5 Charles E. Chambless, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Chambless.  Wife, the former Lela McKennon.  Attended Stockdale schools.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with Army at Camp Callan, Calif. Served in N. Africa, Italy, France, and Germany.
