CHAVOYA, HENRY C. S/Sgt, Henry C. Chavoya, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Chavoya, wife is the former Beatrice Gonzales. Graduated from Tech. High School, Dallas, Texas. Entered the Army 1942, training at Camp Sutton, N.C. Camp Davis, N.C. Camp Polk, La., and Camp Pickett, Va. Served in Bermuda, N. Africa, and Italy where he is now on duty.
CHENEY, R. HOOD, JR. Major R. Hood Cheney Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Hood Cheney, Sr., graduate of Corsicana High School and Southern Methodist University. Entered the Air Corps 1941, training at Santa Maria, Calif., Randolph and Kelly Field, Matagorda Isle and Fla. Served overseas with 8th Air Force as pilot of P-51. Now on duty as Squadron Commander in England. Air Medal with 11 Clusters.
CHERRY, ERNEST E. S/Sgt. Ernest E. Cherry, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Cherry, attended Corsicana School. Entered the Marines in 1941, training at San Diego. Served in Midway and is now on duty in Philippines. Has Presidential Citation and 4 Battle Stars.

CHILDERS, JESSE E. S/Sgt. Jesse E. Childers, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Childers, husband of the former Miss Doris Wilson, graduate of Corsicana High School. Entered service 1940, trained with Army at Camp Bowie, Camp Blanding, Camp Edwards. Has served in Africa, Italy, France, Germany and Australia, now has a discharge. Benning, and Ft. Geo. Meade. Sent overseas in 1945, served in Belgium and Germany, now enroute to Pacific, with the Hqd. Btry., 18th Corps A.B. Arty.
