Phillip N. Smith |
My uncle Phillip N. Smith was the youngest in his
family. The son of Robert Fleet Smith Sr. and Della Phillips. Born
in Corsicana 1910. Worked at Oak Ridge TN during WW II.
Joined his brothers Robert Jr. and Alton developing and building
houses after WW II and then in the Ownership of Smith Bros.
Implement Co. (John Deere) where he remained until his retirement.
He returned home to Corsicana on his retirement where he still lives
with his wife, Emma George.
He is the last of his brothers and sisters. He was building houses
in the Bryan-College station area and the John Deere dealership was
in Navasota, TX. His nephew Alton kept the Smith Bros. Implement Co
name until Oct 2002 when he sold to a large Corp. and died a year
later.
