Pvt. Jackie D. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Howard, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Mildred Tapley, attended Corsicana Public Schools.  Entered the Army Medical Corps, 1943 trained at Camp Barkley and Camp Bowie.  Has served in Ireland, England, and France, now on duty in the Ashburn General Hospital, McKinney, Texas.  Has Good Conduct Ribbon, E.T.O. Ribbon and Bronze Star.

Howard, husband of the former Miss Mary Lou Parker, attended Mildred School.  Entered service, 1943, trained at Camp Gruber and Camp Phillip.  Has served in England, France and Germany, wounded in Germany, 1944, now on duty at Hammond General Hospital, California.  Has Infantry Combat 3 Battle Stars, Good Conduct and Purple Heart.

MAM 3/C Nolan T. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Howard, graduate of Athens High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Merchant Marines, went into Navy, 1943.  Now on duty in Pacific.
HOWARD, SINDEY H.
Pfc. Sidney H. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Howard, Eureka, husband of the former Miss Billie Maureen McGough, attended Mildred High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Camp Adair, Camp White, Ft. Lewis.  Has served in the Philippines, and Hawaii Islands, honorably discharged, 1945.  Has Combat Infantryman Badge, Battle Stars, Good Conduct Ribbons, wounded on Leyte.
HOWELL, SIDNEY J.
S 1/C Sidney J. Howell, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Howell, husband of the former Miss Sue Nell Chambers, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Coast Guard and San Carlos, Calif.  Now on duty in Manchester, Washington.

Sgt. T/4 L. B. Howell, son of Mrs. Lula B. Howell, Kerens, husband of the former Miss Fay Colvin, attended Rural Shade School.  Mobilized with Natl. Guard Nov., 1940, trained at Camp Bowie.  Has served 2 years on transport vessel to Australia, Hawaii, New Guinea, now on duty at Camp Phechee, La. as instructor in welding school.  Has 3 Battle Stars, Presidential Citation.

Howell, Corsicana, graduate of Streetman Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Sheppard Field, Will Rogers Field, Duncan Field and Camp Stoneman.  Has served on New Caledonia for 22 months, received discharge, 1944.  Has Good Conduct and Overseas Medals.
HOWELL, J. C.
Cpl. J. C. Howell, son of Mrs. Deane Howell Tackett, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Mary Ann Stimmetz, Wisc.  Entered the Army 1940, trained at Ft. Sam Houston, Leesville, La., Camp McCoy, Wis., and N. Ireland.  Has served in Ireland, France, England and Germany, wounded in Germany, honorable discharged June, 1945.  Has the Purple Heart, Two Bronze Stars, Rifle Expert Pin and others.
