College.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Santa Anna, Cal., Oznard, Cal., Lemoore, Cal., and Luke Field, Arizona.  Has served in England, France, Germany, now on duty at Drew Field, Fla.  Has Air Medal, E.T.O. Ribbon with Bronze Stars.

Pvt. Jimmie F. Jackson, formerly of Navarro County.  Entered the Paratrooper, 1944.  Has been on duty in Philippines, now on duty on Luzon.
JACKSON, ROBERT C., JR.
Sgt. Robert C. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Jackson, Sr., Corsicana, graduate of Barry High School, attended Hillsboro Junior College.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Air Forces in Sheppard Field, Keesler Field, Willow Run, and Ft. Myers.  Now on duty at Avon Park, Fla.

JAMISON, OKEY L.
Pvt. Okey L. Jamison, son of Mrs. Ada Hendricks, Corsicana, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Camp Roberts, Calif.  Has served in Alaska, before receiving Medical Discharge in 1944.  Has Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon.

  • He was a retired fishing tool operator in the oilfield and he was a WWII Army Veteran.
    He enlisted in the Army 22 Jan 1942 at Fort Sam Houston. He was single and had worked as an attendant at filling stations and parking lots. When he enlisted he was 68 inches tall and weighed 127 pounds.
JARNIGAN, BRYAN
Sgt. Bryan Jarnigan, entered service, 1942, training at Camp Wallace and Camp Stewart.  Has served in East with Army Intelligence and was later transferred to C.A.A.A. as an instructor at Ft. Bliss.  Has served in New Caledonia, Bougainville, and Philippines, where now on duty.
JARRETT, THOMAS E.
Pfc. Thomas E. Jarrett, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Jarrett, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Stacy Fay Dyess, attended Frost School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at Camp Robinson, Ark.  Has served in France and Germany, was wounded in Germany, 1945.  Has Purple Heart and Infantry Combat Badge, now on duty in Germany.

Sgt. James M. Jennings, son of Mrs. M. J. Jennings of Corsicana, attended the Rural Shade Schools.  Entered service in Jan., 1941, training in the Air Corps at Florida.  Served in South America and in Puerto Rico.  Is now on duty in British Guiana, South America.
JENNINGS, BURTON K.
SK 3/C Burton K. Jennings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jennings, Kerens, graduate of Kerens High School and ETSTC, Commerce.  Entered the navy March 29, 1943, training at New Orleans, La.  Served in S. Pacific aboard U.S. Zeal and A.C. Carrier, U.S. Rudyerd Bay.  Now on duty at Camp Bedilen, Pt. Hueneme, Calif.
