S/Sgt. Ralph C. Absher, son of W.P. Absher, Ft. Worth, husband of the former Miss Hudnal Myrl Lynch, attended Kerens Schools.  Entered the service 1940, trained at Brownwood, Florida, Massachusetts.  Has served in N. Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany, now on duty in France.

M. M. John R. Adams, graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered Merchant Marines in 1944.  Now on duty aboard the S. S. Barbara "C" in the Philippines.
ADAMS, WILLIAM D.
Sgt. William D. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Adams, Corsicana, Entered the Medical Corps in 1943, trained at Camp Robinson, Ark., and Camp Barkley, Texas.  Has served in New Guinea, Cape Gloucester, and other Pacific Theater Zones, now on Marianas Island, 30th Evac. Hospital.

Lloyd E. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Adams.  Graduate of Blooming Grove Schools.  Entered service, 1945.  Trained with Merchant Marines at St. Petersburg, Fla.  Served in Philippines and on Luzon.  Now on duty at Galveston.

Pfc.  Hward G. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Adams. Graduate of Blooming Grove School.  Entered service, 1943.  Trained with the Army at Camp Fannin.  Served in New Guinea and is now on duty in Philippines.

Pfc. Alton E. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Adams.  Wife, the former Lillian Scruggs.  Attended Bryan Schools.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with the Army at Camp Roberts.  Served in Hawaii, New Hebrides, Guadalcanal, New Zealand, Austria.  Discharged 1943.  Good Conduct Ribbon, Campaign Ribbon, Bronze Star.

A. M. M. 2/C Sam H. Akers, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Akers, Dawson.  Entered the Navy, 1943.  Training at San Diego, Norman, Okla., Lake City Fla.  Served in Attu and Whidby Is.  Made four bombing missions to Japan.  Has Pres. Citation.  Now enroute to S. Pacific.
