Pfc. William B. Purifoy, son of Mrs. Nettie Purifoy, Kerens. Attended Bazette School.  Entered the Army April, 1941, training at Camp Forrest, Tenn., Ft. Lewis, Wash.  Served on Hawaii and New Guinea.  Now on duty on Luzon.  Has Good Conduct Medal.

Pfc. Chester Putman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Artie Putman, entered service in 1942, training in the Infantry of the Army at Shepard Field.  Served in the Aleutian Islands, France and Germany.  Wears battle stars.  Now on duty at Normandy, France.

QUINN, EDDIE F.
T/Sgt. Eddie F. Quinn, son of Mrs. J. D. Quinn, attended Long Prairie School.  Wife is the former Joette Holland.  Entered the Air Corps in 1940, training at Barksdale Field and in South Carolina.  Served in Puerto Rico, South America, and Guadalcanal.  Now on duty at Jefferson Barracks, Mo.

Benning, Ga.  Engaged in 3 Battles in ETO, now on duty in Australia in Army of Operations.  Awarded TEO Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars, Co. 3rd Bn. 502 Paratrooper Inf.
