Awarded Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Inf. Combat Badge and

attended S.M.U. Entered service, 1940. Trained with 79th
Inf. Division, Brownwood and Ft. Benning. Instructed at Camp
Roberts. Participated invasion of Cherbourg. Wounded at
St. Lo, 1944. Has Purple Heart, two Battle Stars.
