Assigned to 3rd Army (Gen Patton), 347 Inf. 87th Div. 336 Field Art., Radio Com. ETO; France, Battle of Bulge, Rhineland. Set up Fm network to issue procedure/instructions for Units at surrender of Germany. Awarded Purple Heart. Presidential Unit. Good Conduct, ETO, 3 Battle Stars, Combat Badge. Discharged in 1946.

Pvt. Joseph A. Perry, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Perry of Corsicana. Attended Grange Hall School. Entered service Jan 26, 1939. Went overseas in Sept 1943, with the U.S. Army 5th Cavalry. He was killed on Luzon on Feb. 16, 1945.

Taylor T. Phillips, son of W. D. Phillips, Entered service in October 1942. Trained on Treasure Island in the Armed Guards. Served in South Pacific aboard the USS Walter Williams in the Gun Crew. Discharged in October 1945.

Enlisted in March 1942, training at Camp Barkley, Abilene. Member of historic 90th Div. which marched victoriously through Europe. Received 5 Battle Stars - Normandy, N. Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe. Received Good Conduct Medal, Cavalry Inf. Badge, Bronze Arrowhead. Participated in EAME Theater. Discharged Oct. 25, 1945.
HERBERT M. PLANT
T/5 Herbert M. Plant, husband of Frankie Vyers Plant, entered service Oct. 26, 1942, and was attached to the 136th Inf. Reg., 33rd Div. Served in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign where he was a driver of various kinds of military vehicles. Awarded American Theater Medal, Asiatic-Pacific, Victory Medal, Liberation Medal, 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, 1 Service Stripe, 1 Overseas Service Bar. Deceased 1955
ROBERT LEE POARCH
Seaman 2/C Robert Lee Poarch, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. B.D. Poarch of Rice. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy July 4, 1942, training at San Diego Naval Training Sta. and was based in the Hawaiian Islands. Served in the Pacific Theater for the duration of the war. Upon his return from the war, he married his wife Faye, formerly of Ennis.
VESS EVERETT POLK
Sgt. Vess Everett Polk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Polk. Married to Henrietta Green Polk. Attended Jackson High School. Served over 2 years in the armed forces in World War II and the Korean conflict.
CLAUDE A. POLLOCK
Pfc. Claude A. Pollock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pollock of Corsicana. Attended Angus School. Husband of he former Mabel Vyers. Entered the service in Dec. 1943, training at Camp Wolters and Sheppard Field. Served at Garden City Air Base, Garden City, Kans., Pampa Air Base, Pampa, Texas, with the 2518th AAF Base.  Received American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal. Honorably discharged Jan. 19, 1946.
DANIEL B. POLLOCK
Pvt. Daniel B. Pollock, son of Dan and Jennie Pollock. Husband of the former Ida Mae Wright. Attended Grape Creek School, Angus. Entered the U.S. Army on October 9, 1942. Honorably discharged March 30, 1943.

Sent to the Annex of Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C. Trained at New Orleans, La. Stationed at Newport News, Va. and Oakland, Calif. Discharged in 1945.

Sgt. Tommie Lee Powell, son of Mr. Tom Powell. Attended Powell Col School. Entered Coast Guard in 1942, training at Curtis Bay, Md. Served in Australia, New Guinea, Philippines, and other islands in South Pacific. Has the Good Conduct Medal.
DERWOOD F. PRATT
Pvt. Derwood F. Pratt served with the 5th Army, 36th Div., in Italy. Was mobilized with Battery D., Texas National Guard in Nov. 1940.
