He served 37 months, 12 months overseas in the American Theater to Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Received Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. Attended Alliance and Blooming Grove Schools. Husband of the former Wyvonne Yaws of Stamford.

Capt. Jim R. Ramsey, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Ramsey, Sr. of Blooming Grove. Graduate of Blooming Grove High School in 1931, Univ. of Oklahoma in 1941. Entered service March 17, 1941, and trained as a radio and radar communications specialist by the Army Signal Corps at Fort Monmounth, N. J. Commissioned as 2nd Lt. in August 1942. Honorably discharged March 10, 1946.

JOSHUA P. RASCOE
Sgt. Joshua P. Rascoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Rascoe of Corsicana. Entering the service in October 1942. He went overseas in July 1944. Served with the 96th Div. of the 10th Army. He was injured on Okinawa.

Sgt. Billy Brack Rash, son of Emmett E. and Georgia B. Rash of Corsicana. Husband of the former Mary B. Nichols. Attended Mildred High School and Univ. of Houston. Entered service Sept. 11, 1944. Served as a parachute rigger and repairman, instructor for flying officers and replacement personnel in the techniques of inspection, repair and packing of parachutes. Served with the 20th Air Force, 315 Bomb Wing in Guam and the Pacific. Received the Sharpshooter Carbine Award, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, 2 Overseas Bars. Discharged Aug. 27, 1946.

ELBERT HORACE ROBERSON
Sgt. Elbert Horace Roberson, son of John Henry and Alice Warner Roberson. Attended Roane School. Entered the Army Air Force and received his training at Las Vegas, Nev. and Memphis, Tenn. Served in Calcutta, India. Returned to states and was discharged in 1946. Husband of the former Eunice Wallace.

FRED T. ROBERTS
Fred T. Roberts, husband of the former Beth Page of Blooming Grove. Enlisted in Dallas on Sept 5, 1942 to serve national emergency years. Classified as a rifle Sharpshooter Oct 22, 1942. Served in the Central Pacific Area from April 26, 1943, to May 15, 1945. Participated in initial occupation of Majuro Atoll, Marshall Islands. Discharged Oct. 19, 1945.

JAMES P. ROBERTS
Lt. James P. Roberts, son of Walter Roberts of Chatfield was reported missing in action over France on Feb. 4 1944, and later was reported a prisoner of the German government and was stationed at Stalag Luft 1, on the northern coast of Germany. He was the pilot of a Flying Fortress, and arrived in England Dec 29, 1943. Attended Corsicana High School, and entered the Army Air Force in March 1942.
