Entered the U.S. Army Aug. 28, 1944, training at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Ark. and Ft. Medde, Md. Served in Glasgow, Scotland, France and Belgium. In France helped redeploy POWs back to Germany and helped our soldiers home. Received Purple Heart, several Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal, French Croix de Guerre and Combat Inf. Badge.
