S 2/C Buford Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Davis, Mission, attended Dawson Schools.  Entered Navy 1942, trained at Great Lakes.  Has served in Philippines, killed while on furlough at Home Dec. 23, 1944.
DAVIS, JAMES T.
S 1/C James T. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Davis, Rice, attended Rice High School.  Entered the Navy, 1944, trained at San Diego and Hawaii.  Has served in South Pacific, now on duty in Okinawa.

S/Sgt.  William E. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Davis, attended Rice High School.  Entered Infantry, 1942, trained at Camp Roberts, and Hawaii.  Has served in Guadalcanal, Munda, Villa La Villa, Leyte, Luzon, wounded, 1945.  Has Purple Heart.
DAVIS, ERNEST E.
Sgt. Ernest E. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Davis, Rice, attended Rice High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Infantry in Oregon, and Washington.  Has served in Hawaii, and now on duty in Okinawa.
DAVIS, WILLIAM E.
T/5 William E. Davis, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Davis, husband of the former Lavella Bragg, attended Roane School.  Entered Army, 1944, trained at Ft. Knox, where on duty now.
DAVIS, CHATTAM E.
Pfc. Chattam E. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Davis, Rice, husband of the former Miss Delma Beazley, attended Rice High School.  Entered Infantry, 1942, trained at Camp Wolters with 25th Division at Hawaii.  Has served in Hawaii and Guadalcanal, received Medical discharge, 1944.
DAVIS, GEORGE D.
Pfc. George D. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Davis, husband of the former Miss Bernice Davis, Kerens, Tex.  Entered Army Nov. 6, 1942, trained at ft. Sill, Okla.  Has served in England, France, Belgium, and Germany, now on duty in France.
DAVIS, RAYMOND A.
Cpl. Raymond A. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Davis, husband of the former Miss Lucille Smith, attended Lufkin High School.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Air Corps at Garden City, Kan., Monroe, La., and Denver, Col., where now on duty.
DAVIS, MAURICE
Cpl. Maurice Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Davis, Corsicana, attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at North Carolina and in Tennessee.  Has served in England, France and is now on duty in Germany.  Wounded in France, 1944, has Purple Heart.
DAVIS, CLEVELAND C.
T/Sgt. Cleveland C. Davis, son of B. E. Davis, formerly of Kerens, graduate from Kerens High School.  Enlisted in Marines June 15, 1942, trained in San Diego.  Has served in New Caledonia, and Guadalcanal, now on duty in Okinawa.  Has the Sharpshooter Medal 2 Presidential Citations.

Pfc. William H. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Davis, graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1940, trained with Army at Camp Bowie.  Has served in Italy, after going overseas, 1944, killed in action July 7, 1944.  Has Purple Heart.

Pfc. Wilmer K. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Davis, Dawson, husband of the former Miss Adalina Holt, attended Dawson High School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at Camp Hood.  Has served in France and now on duty in Germany.
DAVIS, HOMER I.
Sgt. Homer I Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Davis, Dawson.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Army at Camps Bowie, Blanding and Edwards.  Has served in Africa, Italy, France, and Germany now on duty at Ft. Sam Houston for reassignment.

A/C Ben F. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Davis, Dawson, husband of the former Miss Edna Geraldine Lee.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Air Corps at Brooks Field and Eagle Pass, Texas and in Greensboro, N.C. on duty at Gunter Field, Alabama.
DAVIS, T. P.
Pvt. T. P. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Davis, attended Rural Shade School.  Entered A. Med. Corps July 1943, trained at Camp Barkley, Calif.  Has served in Italy, France and Germany, where now on duty.

S 2/C L. Carl Deaton, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Carl Deaton, Sr., graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered Navy in 1944, trained at San Diego, Calif.  Now on sea duty in the Pacific.

T/5 John D. DeBrock, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. DeBrock, Groesbeck High School.  Entered service, 1941, trained with Army at Ft. Benning at Camp Mackall.  Has served in Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, and Russia.  Wounded at St. Lo, 1944 prisoner of war for 8 months, has Purple Heart.

DECKER, WILLIAM B.
Cpl. William B. Decker, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Decker, husband of the former Miss Janice Elder, graduated at Mildred High School.  Entered the Army Air Corps in 1942, trained at Waco Army Air Field, and Venice, Fla., Air Field.  Now on duty at Geiger Field, Spokane, Washington.
DEES, SEXTON T.
Pfc. Sexton T. Dees, son of Mr. Venous Dees, husband of the former Miss Maud Corcoran, attended Mt. Nebo Schools.  Entered service, 1940, trained with Army at Camp Brownwood.  Now discharged after having been on duty at Key West, Fla.

DEHART, EARL L.
Mo. M.M. 1/C Earl L. Dehart, son of Mrs. D. W. Devenport, attended State Home High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Coast Guard at New Orleans, Key West and New York City.  Has been in Cuba, Puerto Rico, now on duty in Flushing, N.Y.
