Sam Houston Green was the sixth child of Caleb Pinkney and Mollie Othella (Williams) Green, who lived on a farm south of Frost, Navarro County, Texas.

Sam married Stella Lavoy Christian.  Stella was born on Feb 10, 1898.

For more than fifty years owned and farmed land in the Emmett Community

Sam died on November 4, 1974. Stella died on Feb 13, 1977 at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Corsicana.  They are buried together in the Prairie Grove Cemetery at Emmett, Navarro County Texas.

 They had two sons, Corben Lomede Green and Collin Oneil Green.

Corben Lomede Green born January 4, 1920, attended Emmett School, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and on June 15, 1947 married Frances Louise Frederick, the daughter of Sam H. &Vivian Mae (Lane) Frederick.  Corben and Frances lived in Corsicana where he attended Navarro Junior College Vocational Division, and there their first child, Dana Leigh Green, was born in 1951.  In the early 1950's they moved to the Dallas area where their daughter Diane was born.  Corben died on Nov 15, 1999 in Garland, Dallas Co., TX and was buried in the Prairie Grove Cemetery at Emmett, Navarro Co., TX

Sam and Stella Green's other son, Collin Oneil Green, was born in December of 1920.  He married Gloria McFadden of Corsicana.  They have one son, Steven Neil Green.  Steven was born in 1951 and graduated from Corsicana High School.  He attended Navarro Junior College.  Gloria died in 1988.  Collin remarried to Aubrey Coffy on July 22, 1991.  Collin died on April 19, 2000 at his home in Corsicana was buried at the Resthaven Cemetery in Navarro County Texas.

Sam Green
Funeral Services were to be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel for Sam Green, 81 resident of Rt. 1 Frost, who died Tuesday morning. Rev. Luther Crawford was to officiate, with burial to follow at Emmett Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Stella Green of Corsicana; two sons, Gordon Green of Garland and Collin Green of Corsicana; a brother, Joe Green of Frost; four sisters, Mrs Alice Gilbert, Mrs. Sudell Webb and Martha Young all of Corsicana and Mrs. Clara Wright of Overton; two grand sons, Steve Green of Corsicana and Dana Green of Dallas; and a granddaughter, Dianne Green of Garland; Pallbearers include J. C. Green, Truitt Green Ervin Green, Marion Green, Rufus Christian, Bill Christian.

Services were to be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs Stella Green, 79, resident of Corsicana, who died yesterday morning at Evergreen Nursing Home.
The Rev. James Eddins was to officiate with burial following at Emmett Cemetery.
She was a member of the Prairie Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Emmett.
Survivors include two sons, Corbel L. Green of Garland and Collin O. Green of Corsicana; three grandchildren, Dan Green and Diana Green both of Garland and Steve Green of Corsicana.
Pallbearers were to be Bill Christian, Rufus Christian, Dick Christian, Virgil Austin, J.C. Green, and Truitt Green.
