MOMM 1/C Roy L. McCleary, son of Mrs. Mary E. McCleary, wife, the former Juanita Cox.  Graduated from Powell High School.  Entered the Navy, November, 1942, training at U.S.N.T.S., San Diego, Calif.  Engaged in campaigns of Tarawa, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.  Now on duty NOB., Norfolk, Va.  Awarded 2 major campaign stars.

AOM 1/C Coy W. McClendon, son of Mrs. W. L. McClendon, Richland.  Graduate of Richland Schools.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with the Navy Air Corps at Calif. and Seattle, Wash., Fla., Norman, Okla.  Served in Pacific and Philippine Invasion.  Has Air Medal, Purple Heart, Air Crewman Wings.  Wounded in the Philippines, 1944.  Now on duty at Jacksonville, Fla.
McCLINTOCK, A. B.
S 1/C A.B. McClintock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jewell McClintock, graduated from Purdon High School.  Entered the Navy Nov., 1943.  Trained at Corpus Christi, Texas, where he is now on duty.

S 1/C Jewell Dean McClintock Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jewell McClintock, Sr., Purdon, graduated from Purdon High School.  Entered the Navy, Nov., 1943.  Trained at Camp Kenery, Calif., San Clemente Island.  Now on duty in S. Pacific.

McCLUNEY, WILLIAM LOGAN
Pvt. William Logan McCluney, son of William and Mary McCluney, attended Kerens High School.  Entered the Signal Battalion of the Army and trained at Camp Cola., Calif., Camp Crowder, Mo., Camp Shelby, Miss., and Camp Livingston, La.  Received discharge July 18, 1943.

1st Lt. Ashbell G. McClung, son of Mrs. Hazel McClung, Kerens, graduate of Kerens High School.  Attended Texas A&M., Texas Tech.  Mobilized with 36th. Div., F.A. Nov., 1940, training at Camp Bowie, Ft. Blanding, Fla, Camp Edwards, Mass.  Served in N. Africa, Italy.  Awarded Purple Heart and Silver Star posthumously.  Killed at San Pietro Italy, Dec 8, 1943.

Major Alton McClung, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McClung, Kerens, graduated from Kerens High School and University of Texas.  Entered the Air Corps, 1941.  Trained at Mather Field, Calif.  Completed 50 missions as pilot on B-24 from AAB, Italy.  Now on duty at Pyote AAF on B-29.  Awarded DFC, Air Medal, Pres. Citation.
McCLURE, ISHMAL A.
Cpl. Ishmal A. McClure, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McClure, husband of former Velma Johnston.  Graduate of Mt. Enterprise and S.H.S.T.C.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with the Army Air Corps at Sheppard Field, Santa Monica, Atlantic City, and Miami Beach.  Served in Panama.  Now on duty in Pacific.  Good Conduct, American Theater of Operations.
McCLURE, ELVIS D.
Sgt. Elvis D. McClure, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McClure, Frost.  Wife, the former Annie Rivers.  Graduated from Frost High School.  Entered the service in 1942, training at Sheppard Field and Laredo, Tex., Denver, Colo., Salt Lake City, Utah.  Is now on duty at Saipan.

McClure, graduate of Blooming Grove.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Camp Barkley, Texas.  Has served in England, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, wounded during Normandy Invasion, now on duty in Germany.  Holds Infantryman's Badge and 5 Major Battle Stars.

Cox, Joe E. McClure, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe McClure, graduate of Blooming Grove Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Navy at Great Lakes, Ill.  Has served in N. Africa, Australia, India, New Zealand, and New Caledonia, discharged, 1945.

McClure, Frost, attended Frost High School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Marines at San Diego and Oceanside.  Has served in Pacific Theater, was wounded on Iwo Jima, 1945, now in hospital at Norman, Okla.  Has Sharpshooter and Expert Rifle Medals and Purple Heart.

Guard since 1922, mobilized Nov., 1940, trained at Camp Bowie, discharged at Camp Swift, April, 1943.  Awarded Pre-Pearl Harbor Ribbon.

Pfc. Jewell V. McCoy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver McCoy, attended Rice High School.  Entered the Army  Infantry in July , 1944, trained at Camp Wolters, and various other camps in U.S.  Has served in the Hawaiian Islands, the Marianas Islands and now on duty on Okinawa.  Has the Presidential Citation.
