Born March 4 1913, the 9th of 10 children (7 boys and 3 girls) to Waller Parker
and Lelia Hester Garrison at Valley View in Cooke County. Nora graduated from
Blooming Grove High School. She was employed for several years as a telephone
operator in Ennis and for a time in Washington D.C. She later went to work for
Mobil Oil Company in Dallas. She worked there as a payroll clerk until she
retired in 1975. She returned to Dallas in 1988 where she was living at the time
of her death. She died January 14 at the age of 83.

She took care of her mother for several years before her mother's death. She is
remembered by nieces and nephews by the special things that she did for them:
invitations to Dallas to attend the Ice Capades or Starlight Operettas or the

Those we love remain with us,

For as long as there is memory,
They will live on in our heart.
