Has served in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, Czechoslovakia, Bavaria, and Australia, wounded in Belgium, 1945. Has Expert Machine Gun Ribbon, Expert Sub-Machine Gun Medal, Sharp-shooter Medal, Carbine Medal, MI Rifle Medal, Purple Heart, E.T.O. with three Battle Stars.

WATTS, VICTOR ED
S 1/C Victor Ed Watts, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Watts of Corsicana, graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1937, trained with the Navy at San Diego and was killed in action on December 8, 1941 when the Island of Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese.  He was the first Navarro County Boy to give his live for his country.
