Pvt. Bruce Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Watson, husband of the former Miss Lewellyn Howard, Entered service, 1944, trained with Field Artillery at Ft. Knox, Ky. Has served in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, Czechoslovakia, Bavaria, and Australia, wounded in Belgium, 1945. Has Expert Machine Gun Ribbon, Expert Sub-Machine Gun Medal, Sharp-shooter Medal, Carbine Medal, MI Rifle Medal, Purple Heart, E.T.O. with three Battle Stars.

WATSON, WILLIAM C., JR.
S 2/C William C. Watson, Jr., son of Mrs. Ola Watson, Corsicana, graduate of Corsicana High School. Entered service 1945, trained with Navy at San Diego. Now in Radio Training at San Diego.

Sgt. LeRoy Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Watson, Route 1, Corsicana, attended Barry Schools.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Army at Camp Hulen.  Has served in England, France, Belgium and now on duty in Germany.  Has 5 Battle Stars.
WATSON, JAMES EDWIN
Pfc. James Edwin Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude E. Watson, Barry, graduate of Barry High School. Entered service, 1944, trained with 6th Armored Division of 3rd Army at Camp Fannin. Has served in England, France, Germany, and Belgium, wounded in action March, 1945, Germany. Has Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct, and Combat Infantry Badge.
WATSON, CLAUDE A.
S/Sgt. Claude A. Watson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Watson, Barry, graduate of Barry High School. Entered service, 1944, trained with 6th Armored Division of 3rd Army at Camp Fannin. Has served in England, France, Germany, and Belgium, wounded in action March 1945, Germany. Has Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct, ad Combat Infantry Badge.

WATTS, BUFORD C.
Cpl. Buford C. Watts, son of Mrs. Annie Watts, Corsicana, attended Zion Rest School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with 350th Army Infantry at Camp Gruber, Okla. and Ft. Sam Houston and Shreveport, La.  Has been in Germany and now on duty in Italy.  Holds Good Conduct and E.T.O. Ribbons.
WATTS, VICTOR ED
S 1/C Victor Ed Watts, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Watts of Corsicana, graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1937, trained with the Navy at San Diego and was killed in action on December 8, 1941 when the Island of Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese.  He was the first Navarro County Boy to give his live for his country.

S 2/C Thad O. Watts, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Watts, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Anita Grimes, attended the Corsicana High School.  Entered the Navy, 1944, trained for six weeks in San Diego, Calif.  Has served in the Pacific Theater, where on duty now.

J. L. Watts, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Watts, Frost, trained at Kelly Field, San Antonio.  Has served in England in the ground force, received an Honorable Discharge Dec., 1944.
WATTS, WILLIAM D.
S 2/C William D. Watts, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Watts, husband of the former Miss Evelyn Roden, attended school at Frost.  Entered the Navy in 1944, trained at San Diego, Calif.  Has served in combat on the Japanese Mainland, now somewhere in the Pacific on duty.

Pvt. Lawrence A. Watts, son of Mrs. Deila Watts, wife, Mrs. Lawrence Watts.  Attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1938.  Trained with 133rd Field Artillery, in Fla.  Wounded 1944 and given discharge.
 
WATTS, CLARENCE F.
S/Sgt. Clarence F. Watts, son of Mrs. Della Watts.  Attended Corsicana Jr. High School.  Entered service 1943, training in the Marines at San Diego.  Served in the Pacific.  Wounded in 1944.  Has Purple Heart.  Now on duty at State Side Guard, Santa Ana Calif.
WATTS, MARVIN L.
CM 2/C Marvin L. Watts, son of Mrs. Annie Watts, Corsicana.  Attended Frost Schools.  Entered service 1943, training in the Navy Seabees at Gulfport, Miss., Camp Peary, Williamsburg, Va.  Served in Hawaii, Marshalls and is now in the Marianas Is.

BM 2/C George T. Weaver, son of George T. Weaver, graduate of Barry High School. Entered service 1943, training in the Navy at San Diego. Served in Southern, Central and Northern Pacific, Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Guam, Okinawa. Now at Oceanside, Calif. Has Four Battle Stars.

Pvt. Carroll S. Weaver, son of George T. Weaver. Graduate of Barry High School. Entered service 1944, training with the Army, 44th Infantry Division at Camp Croft, S. C. Served at England, France, Germany and Austria. Now at Camp Chaffee, Ark.
WEBB, THOMAS M.
Thomas M. Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Webb, attended High School at Corsicana.  Entered service, 1943, training in the Maritime Service in St. Petersburg, Fla.  Served in New Gunia, Philippines and Australia.  Is now on duty in Philippines.  Has Atlantic and Pacific Ribbons.
WEBB, JAMES M.
S/Sgt James M. Webb, wife the former Rosemary Cusamano.  Attended Kerens High School.  Mobilized with Btry. E, 132 F.A. Nov., 1940, training at Camp Stewart, Ga.  Served on U.S.S. Fla, in transport service.  Engaged in major battle in ETO.  Now on duty in Germany.
WEBB, HORACE J.
Cox, Horace J. Webb, son of Mrs. Ona Webb, attended school at Pursley.  Entered the Navy in 1942, training at Great Lakes, Ill.  Is now on duty in California.
WEBB, ELMER C.
AMM 2/C Elmer C. Webb, son of Ona Webb, Purdon, attended school at Dawson.  Entered the Navy Air Corps in 1942, training at Great Lakes, Ill.  Is now on duty in Alaska.  Has Air Medal.
WEBSTER, JOHN DAVID
Pvt. John David Webster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Webster.  Attended Kerens High School.  Mobilized with natl. Guard at Camp Bowie, 1940, training at Camp Blanding, Fla. and Camp Edwards, Mass.  Engaged in N. African, Italian Campaign.  Discharged 1945.  Awarded 2 Battle Stars, Pearl Harbor and Good Conduct Ribbon.
