Pfc. Jethro M. Sims, son of Mrs. R. L. Hightower, Frost, husband of the former Miss Johnie Lane, attended Frost High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Sheppard Field, Lubbock Air Field, Randolph Field and Tarrant Field, now on duty at Tarrant Field.
 
SIMS, JOHN T.
T/5 John T. Sims, son of Mrs. Leslie Hammett, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Dorothy Broach, attended Kerens, Texas. (sic) Entered service, 1943, trained with Army at Ft. Sill, Okla., Camp Bowie, Brownwood.  Has served in Belgium and Germany, now on duty with the Army of Occupation in Australia.  Has 3 Battle Stars.
 
SIMS, WILLIAM C.
Sgt. William C. Sims, son of Mrs. Leslie Hammett, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Janice Stewart, attended Kerens School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army Air Corps at Lowery Field, and Las Vegas.  Has served in England and now on duty in California.
 
SIMS, CLIFTON, B.
Pvt. Clifton B. Sims, son of Mrs. W. W. Sims, Kerens, Texas, attended Bazette School.  Enlisted Air Corps Oct., 1942, trained at San Antonio, Texas, W.A.F.S., Waco, Texas, Smyrna Air Base, Tenn.  Seymour Jonson Field, N.C.  Has served on New Guinea and the Philippines, where now on duty.
 
SINGLETON, CECIL A.
CPHM Cecil A. Singleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Singleton, husband of the former Miss Eva Wall, graduate from North Texas State, M.A. State University.  Entered service, 1942, trained with U.S. Navy Coast Guard at New Orleans, New York.  Has served in Australia, New Guinea, Los Negros, now on duty in Mobile.
 
SINGLETON, EDWARD H.
Sgt. Edward H. Singleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Singleton, husband of the former Miss Gladys M. Wallace, graduate of Mildred High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained at Camp Leonard Wood, Mo. and Ft. Ord, Cal.  Has served in New Guinea.  Goodenough Island, Biak, and Honolulu, now on duty in Philippines.

A/S Jesse J. Sirman, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Sirman, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Marine Harrison, attended Mildred Schools.  Entered service, 1945, trained with Navy at San Diego.
 
SIRMAN, WILLIE "SHORTY"
S/Sgt. Willie "Shorty" Sirman, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Sirman, Corsicana, graduated from Mildred Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Roswell, New Mexico.  Has served in New Guinea, now on duty on Moluccas.  Has 5 Battle Stars.
 
SIRMAN, JOHN M.
T/Sgt. John M. Sirman, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Sirman, Corsicana, attended Mildred Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Sheppard Field and discharged, 1945.  Has D.F.C., 6 Oak Leaf Clusters and 3 Battle Stars.
 
SISSON, THOMAS E.
Pfc. Thomas E. Sisson, son of Mrs. Pearl W. Actkinson, attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered the service, 1944, trained with the Army Anit-Aircraft Division at El Paso, Camp Hann, California, and Gainesville, Tex.  Has served in Germany and France, wounded on April 13, 1945.  Has Purple Heart.

SKELTON, CHARLES W.
Chief Radio Technician Charles W. Skelton, son of Mrs. Estelle Skelton.  Wife, the former Jeanette Purifoy.  Graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1942, training with the Navy at Oklahoma A&M and Treasure Island, Calif.  Now serving in the South Pacific aboard the U.S.S. Concord.

M/Sgt. John F. Skelton, son of Mrs. Estelle V. Skelton, Corsicana.  Wife, the former Koris McKamy.  Entered service, 1942, training with the Air Transport Command at Las Vegas.  Was Chief Radio Technical Inspector, Love Field, Dallas.  Served in Egypt and is now on duty in India as Radio Operator on Planes delivering supplies to China.  Has Ribbons with Battle Star, Sharpshooter Medal, Expert Medal for Carbine.
 
SKINNER, ELTON M.
Pvt. Elton M. Skinner, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Skinner, ... Wife, the former Elizabeth A. Newlin. attended school at Corsicana High. Entered service 1945, training with the Army Engineers at Ft. Lewis where he is now on duty.

T/5 O. J. Skinner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Skinner, Corsicana.  Husband of former Marie Nokes.  Attended school in Corsicana.  Entered the Army in 1943, training at Camp Abbott, Ore., and Camp Georgia.  Served in France and is now on duty in Germany.

1st Lt. Edward E. Slagle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Slagle, wife, the former Julia R. Moore, formerlhy of Kerens.  Entered the Air Corps 1943.  Engaged in ETO Campaigns.  Awarded DFC, AM with 3 Clusters, ETO Ribbon, Bronze Star.  Now on duty at Tonapah, Nevada.
 
SLATE, JOHN E.
Pfc. John E. Slate, son of J. H. and Nellie V. Slate, Corsicana.  Wife, the former Inez Farmer.  Graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943.  Trained with the Air Corps at Sheppard Field and Laredo.  Served in New Caledonia, New Guinea and is now on Luzon.

Slaughter.  Wife, the former Weltha Norris.  Graduate of Purdon High School.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with 75th Infantry at Camp Roberts, Ft. Leonard Wood, Camp Breckenridge.  Served in Belgium, France, Holland and Germany.  Has Bronze Star.
 
SLAUGHTER, HERMAN A.
T/Sgt. Herman A. Slaughter, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Slaughter.  Graduate of Purdon Schools.  Entered service, 1942, training with Medical Corps of the Army at Camp Robinson.  Served twenty-one months at 359 Station Hospital, Trindad.  Discharged, 1944.
