Pfc. James O. Tanner, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Tanner, Dawson, husband of the former Miss Modell Wells, attended Dawson High School.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at Camp Fannin.  Has served in England, France, Italy, now on duty in Germany.  Has Good Conduct Medal, and Infantry Badge.

Pfc. Dexter O. Tanner, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Tanner, attended Union High Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Camp Forrest, Fort Lewis and Desert Training Center Calif.  Has served in Hawaii and New Guinea, now on duty in Philippines.

Pvt. Fred N. Tanner, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Tanner, Dawson, attended Dawson Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army Air Corps at Camp Fannin and Sheppard Field.  Now on duty at Amarillo Air Field.
TANNER, ROVENE
Pvt. Rovene Tanner, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Tanner, attended Union High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Ft. Riley and Camp Crowder.  Now on duty at Camp Pickett.
TARKINGTON, BOOTH
1st Lt. Booth Tarkington, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Tarkington, Kerens, husband of the former Miss Frances Gragg, Mobilized with Texas Natl. Guard, 1940.  Entered 94th Field Artillery, trained at Camp Bowie Texas, O.C.S. at Ft. Sill, Okla., and other camps in U.S.  Has served in French-German Campaigns, and in England.  Killed in Germany, Jan., 1945, awarded to his family the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Pvt. Lester E. Tarkington, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Tarkington, Kerens.  Entered service March 1945, trained in Tank Corps at Camp Hood, where now on duty.

Cpl. Tom B. Tarkington, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Tarkington, Kerens, Texas.  Entered Army, 1942, trained with 28th Infantry Anti-Aircraft at Ft. Bliss, Texas, Camp Young, Calif., Ft. Fisher, Va. and various other camps in U.S.  Has served in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany where now on duty.  Wears the Good Conduct Medal.

TARRER, JIMMIE W.
Pfc. Jimmie W. Tarrer, son of Mrs. W. D. Devenport, attended State Orphan Home School.  Entered service, 1940, trained with Cavalry at Ft. Clark and Ft. Bliss.  Has served in New Guinea, Australia, and Philippines.  Received discharge, 1945.

Pfc. Robert E. Tate, son of Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Lawler, attended Corsicana High School.  entered service, 1943, trained with Army Air Corps at Wichita Falls, Lincoln, Neb. and various other camps in U.S.A.  Has served in Pacific Theater, now on duty in Molucas Islands.
TAYLOR, A. J.
S/Sgt. A. J. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Taylor, graduate of Dawson High School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Kerens Field, Utah, Truax Field, Wisc., and Boca Raton Field, Fla.  Has served in England.  Now training in Florida for Pacific Assignment.  Has Presidential Citation.

Pfc. Bobbie C. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Taylor, attended Bryan School.  Entered service, 1942, training with the Air Corps at Camp Joseph T. Robinson., Ark. and Warner Robins, Ga.  Served in New Guinea and in Philippines.  Is now on duty in Philippines.

Pfc. Billie F. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Taylor, attended Bryan High School.  Entered service, 1942, training with the Air Corps at Miami Beach, Scott Field, Chicago, Ill., Burning, Neb., and Salt Lake, Utah.  Discharged 1943.
TAYLOR, WILLIAM M., JR.
Lt. William M. Taylor, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Taylor, graduated from Corsicana High School and A&M College.  Entered the Air Corps in 1941, training at Albuquerque, N.M.  Served in Pacific Theater.  Killed in action somewhere in the Pacific Sept. 7, 1944.  Has the Purple Heart.

Monmouth, N.J., and Schenectady, N.Y.  Served in European Theater and is now in Germany.

Africa, Italy, France Campaigns.  Returned to U.S. 1945.  Awarded Silver Star, Bronze Star, Croix de Guerre, ETO with 4 Battle Stars.
TAYLOR, FRANCES M.
GM 3/C Frances M. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Taylor.  Wife, the former Odell Peay.  Attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1943, training in the Navy at San Diego.  Served in Saipan, Tinian, Okinawa, and other Islands of the Pacific.  Now on duty in the Pacific.

Powell.  Wife, the former Dollie Taylor.  Attended Bryan School.  Entered the Army in 1940, training in Army Airborne AAA at Camp Bowie and Camp Stewart.  Served in India, with transport service in the Carribean, and in Burma.  Discharged, 1945.  Has Bronze Star.
