Cpl. James F. Yates, son of Mrs. Lovie Yates, husband of the former Miss Robbie Gilliam, attended Mildred Schools. Mobilized in 1940 with National Guard, trained with Hq. Btry. of XXII Artillery at Camp Bowie and Ft. McPherson, Ga. Now on duty in Germany. Has four Marksmanship Medals and 1 Combat Star.

Pfc. Emmett J. Yates, son of Mrs. Lovie Yates, husband of the former Miss Margaret Cupples. Entered service, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Ellington Field. Volunteered for Infantry, 1944 in France, now on duty in Australia. Wounded in Germany, March 1945.
