CORSICANA, Texas. - Benjamin William Green, 67, farmer, native of Navarro County, died at his home in the Emmett community. Surviving are his wife of Emmett; eight sons, Jerry Green, Crawford; Irving Green, J. C. Green, Leonard Green, Charles Ray Green, Truitt Green, Marion Green and B. W. Green Jr. all of Frost; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Raines, Frost; fourteen grandchildren; three brothers, Tom Green, Richland; Sam Green and Joe Green, both of Frost; five sisters, Mrs. Van Young, Frost; Mrs. E. C. Holloway and Mrs. G. W. Webb, both of Corsicana; Mrs. Clem Gilbert, Dallas, and Mrs. J. D. Toten, Dawson, and other relatives.

FAMILY OUTLINE

Benjamin William Green was born April 1, 1886 near Raleigh in Navarro Co., TX.  He was the son of Caleb Pinkney & Mollie Othella (Williams) Green.  On Dec 15, 1908 at Emmett, Ben married Alice Elizabeth Pevehouse, daughter of James Franklin "Frank" Pevehouse and Mary Cathryn (Caldwell) Hollman.  Alice was born on 10 August 1886 at Raleigh, Navarro Co., TX.  Ben and Alice bought a farm near Emmett.  During their lives they farmed at Jones Ranch, Retreat, McCord, as well as at Emmett.

After farming in the McCord Community for thirty years, Ben and Alice moved back to Emmett to their homeplace.  Ben died on January 15, 1954.  Alice then moved to Frost and then to the Paulyne's Convalescent Home where she died January 31, 1972.  They are buried in the Frost Cemetery at Frost, Navarro Co., TX.
