S/Sgt. Calvin Paul, son of Mrs. J. W. Paul, Kerens, Texas, wife is the former Lucille Coffett.  Entered National Guard, 1938, training in F.A. at Ft. Sill, Okla.  Served in France and engaged in Battle of Rhine.  Now on duty in Germany.  Awarded Good Conduct Medal.
PAUL, HENRY J.
Sgt. Henry J. Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Paul, Kerens, attended Rural Shade School.  Entered the Army, 1940.  Trained at Camp Bowie, Camp Blanding, Fla., Camp Edwards, Mass.  Engaged it ETO Campaigns.  Discharged Aug., 1945.  Awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

PAUL, ANDERSON M.
Pfc. Anderson M. Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Paul, Kerens, attended Rural Shade School.  Entered Army, 1942.  Trained at Camp Forrest, Camp Wolters.  Served on Fiji Is., New Hebrides, Guadalcanal.  Now a patient in Hospital on Luzon.  Awarded Silver Rifle.  Wounded April 13, 1945 on Luzon.

Cpl. Joseph C. Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Payne.  Wife is the former Vernelle Wooley.  Entered the Air Corps, 1942.  Trained at Blackland Field, Waco, Tex.  Now on duty at Camp Pinedale, Fresno, Calif.
PAYNE, BILLY G.
S 2/C Billy G. Payne, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Payne, graduated from Dawson High School and Draughans Business College.  Entered service in 1942, training at San Diego, Calif., and Oregon.  Killed in action on Nov. 7, 1943 while serving on Lisban Bay.
PAYNE, PACE P.
S/Sgt. Pace P. Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Payne.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained as tail gunner with Air Corps at Harlingen, Salt Lake City, Tucson, El Paso.  Served at New Guinea, and Australia.  Has Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and Purple Heart.  Missing in action since June, 1943.

PEABODY, CLOYD M.
T/Sgt. Cloyd M. Peabody, son of C. M. Peabody, Corsicana.  Graduate of Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1943.  Trained with Army Signal Corps at Camp Howze, Camp Livingston, Camp San Luis Obispo.  Has Campaign Ribbon and Star.  Now on duty in Germany.
PEACOCK, BILLIE H.
Cpl. Billie H. Peacock, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Peacock.  Wife is the former Dorothy Hill.  Graduate of Mildred High School and attended A. & M. College.  Entered the Air Corps, training at Waco Flying School.  Now on duty at Murock. Calif.
PEACOCK, GEORGE, JR.
Pvt. George Peacock, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Peacock.  Wife is the former Virignia Walker.  Attended Powell Schools.  Entered service, 1942.  Trained with the Army at Camp Howze and Camp Claiborne.  Served in Italy, France, Germany.  Wounded in 1945, hospitalized in El Paso.  Has Purple Heart, Inf. Combat Badge, 3 Bronze Stars.
PEACOCK, ROBERT H.
GM 3/C Robert H. Peacock, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Peacock, Corsicana.  Attended Powell Schools.  Entered service in 1943, training with the Navy at San Diego, Calif.  Served in Pacific Area.  Wounded on Iwo Jima, 1945.  Has Purple Heart.

Pvt. Joseph Monroe Pearson, son of Mrs. Calesta Pearson, Corsicana, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1945.  Trained with Marines at Parris Island, S.C.

PEDEN, GEORGE S.
Pvt. George S. Peden, son of Mr. J.T. Peden, Purdon. Entered the Army in 1942, trained at Ft. Jackson, S.C., Ft. Benning, Ga., and Camp Blanding, Fla. Has served in England, and France, where he was wounded in July 1944, now on duty in France. Has the Purple Heart.
PEEBLES, TOM M.
T/4 Tom M. Peebles, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Peebles, attended Zions Rest School.  Entered service, 1940, trained with Army at Camp Bowie, Camp Blanding and Camp Edwards.  Has served in Africa, Italy, France, Alsace-Lorraine and Germany.  Has Good Conduct and Soldier's Medal.

S 2/C Aubrey D. Peebles, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Peebles, attended Zions Rest School.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Navy at San Diego.  Has served in North and South Pacific and in the Atlantic, now on duty somewhere in the Pacific.  Has Good Conduct Badge.

Pvt. Thurman B. Penny, son of Mrs. C. F. Penny, Corsicana, husband of the former Miss Jessie Hawkins, attended school at Long Prairie.  Entered the Air Corps in 1942, trained at Kerens Field, Utah.  Was honorably discharged Sept., 1943.

Pvt. Curtus, son of Mrs. C. F. Penny, husband of the former Miss Harmolens Burnes, attended Kerens Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at Ft. Bliss.  Has served in Honolulu and now on duty in Guam.
PENNY, JOHNNIE A., JR.
S 1/C Johnnie A. Penny, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Penny, Corsicana, graduated from Mildred High School.  entered Navy Nov. 1., 1944, trained at USNTS, San Diego.  Now serving on Saipan in the Communication Service.

PERKINS, HERMAN
W. T. 1/C Herman Perkins, son of Mrs. Nellis Perkins, Corsicana and Mitch Perkins, San Antonio, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service, 1928, trained with Navy at San Diego.  Has served in both Atlantic and Pacific, now on sea duty aboard the USS Tucker.
PERKINS, J. C.
Ensign J. C. Perkins, son of Mitch Perkins, San Antonio, and Mrs. Nellie Perkins, Corsicana, husband of the former Imogene Carr.  Entered service, 1933, trained with Navy, San Diego.  has served in South Pacific, China, North Africa, Italy and France.  Invasion Ribbons of Anzio Italy and France.  Now commanding Officer on the U.S.S. Pitamakan.
