TILLIE BURGESS Born October 2, 1904 in Corsicana, Texas to Mary and Richard Burgess. Passed away July 5, 2001 in Menlo Park, California. She is survived by sons, Dr. Martel Bryant and wife Linda, Dr. Richard Bryant and wife Pat; grand-children, Douglas Bryant, James Bryant, Barbara Haines, David Bryant, Jan Speaker, and Charyl LeBlac, Laura Gutierrez, Kenneth Bryant, and Evan
Bryant; eight great-grandchildren. Tillie attended Crozier Tech when it was Bryan High School and graduated in 1921. She taught at William Lipscomb and also taught for many years at Farmers Branch, and retired from teaching at the age of seventy. Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, July 9, 2001 at Abbey Chapel. Interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, on Monday at the Abbey Chapel.

He was retired from Proctor and Gamble after 30 years of dedicated service. He leaves behind a loving wife of 63 years, Rena Ribble; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Cheryl Ribble; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Lloyd Hall; five grand-children and five great grandsons. She was born Dec. 27, 1890, in Kerens. She lived in Dallas for 45 years, and spent the rest of her life in Kerens.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Sam Phillips of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Murphey of Washington, D. C.; and one grandchild.

She was a member of the Baptist Church in Trinidad and a former resident of Kerens.

She was a resident of Kerens for 79 years and a member of the Church of Christ.

A native of Kerens, she was a retired comptroller for Sugar Land Telephone Co. She was a member of the board of the Sugar Land Employees Credit Union.

Services for Joseph "Joe" Inmon, former teacher and superintendent of schools with the Barry Independent School District in Navarro County, will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church of Plano. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Mr. Inmon, who retired as the district personnel manager for the Internal Revenue Service in Dallas, died of natural causes Tuesday at his Plano home. He was 80. A native of Kerens, Texas, he graduated in 1934 from North Texas State University, now the University of North Texas in Denton. After graduation, he taught in Barry and was eventually superintendent until 1942. He moved to Dallas in 1942 and went on to serve 20 years with the IRS. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Inmon of Plano; a daughter, Annette Hooker of Houston; a sister, Ethel Inmon of Kerens; and two granddaughters. Memorials may be made to the Plano Dialysis Center or the First United Methodist Church of Plano endowment fund.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was born Feb. 22, 1916 in Retreat. She was a lifetime
member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Retreat. She was a member of Pickett Riding Club and the Pink Ladies at Navarro Regional Hospital. Mrs. Hollingsworth was the last surviving child of 11 children of the Wilson family, one of the pioneer families of Retreat.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Bill Hollingsworth; first husband, Tommy Martin; parents, Millard S. Wilson and Mary Corinne Pryor Wilson; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Mrs. Hollingsworth is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John T. and Carly Martin Jr. of Karnack; Mary Price of Gladewater; Polly Thomas of Corsicana; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Russell was born Feb. 28, 1907 on the family farm
near Oakhurst, San Jacinto County, to Robert and Ida Russell, the youngest of
seven children. He attended a one-room county school through 10th grade. His
brother Robert paid for and sent him to Tyler Commercial College to learn
telegraphy and after graduating, he worked for Western Union for 10 years in
Baytown, Huntsville and Sierra Blanca with a brief stint in Louisiana. About
the time World War II broke out, Mr. Russell went to work for Mobil Pipeline
Company spending over 30 years before retiring in 1972.
He and his wife moved to Corsicana in 1959 when
transferred by Mobil Pipeline. He was an active member of First Baptist Church
for over 40 years. The highlight of that tenure was when he became president of
his Sunday School class until his health forced him to retire from that as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his
brothers and sisters, and most painfully his firstborn son, Donald Jr.
Mr. Russell is survived by his beloved wife and friend
of 65 years, Ruth; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ronald Elmore of Frost;
son, Randy Russell of Corsicana; grandchildren, Jeff and Norma Elmore of
Lewisville, Joel and Jan Elmore of Frost, Ed and Marla Russell of Austin and
Julianna and Bruce Willmott of Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Christopher,
Morgan and Brock Elmore of Frost, Kenny and Joshua Elmore of Lewisville and Eddy
Russell of Austin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials
be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 510 W. Collin St., Corsicana,
Texas 75110.

Joe Stewart, 89, of Athens, formerly of Corsicana, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001 in an Athens nursing home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens with Solen Bailey officiating.
Mr. Stewart was born March 4, 1911 in Hamilton to the late Merrett R. and Dora Bell Haught Stewart. Mr. Stewart formerly resided in Corsicana, 40 years in Dallas, and had lived in Athens the past 20 years. He was a retired service station manager.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Mabry Stewart in 1983
[1985], two sisters and a brother.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Carrie Stewart of Athens; stepsons, Todd Mabry of Oregon and Buck Mabry of California; sister, Ila Mae Oringderff of Granbury; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were 11 a.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church of Cockrell Hill. Officiating was the Rev. Bob Keith, pastor, and Pastor John Gradburg from Gilmer. Interment followed at Dresden Cemetery near Barry.
Pallbearers were nephews Gene Butler of Barry, Billy McNabb and Bronnie McNabb of Corsicana, Harlan Moore of Mesquite, Brent Leftwich of Sugar Land and Wayne Gay of Payson, Ariz.
Mrs. Lewis was born Feb. 22, 1916 in Wills Point. She moved to Barry and attended school at Bryan in the Drane community. She lived in Corsicana several years and worked for the glove factory. Leaving Corsicana, she worked for Victor Costa in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Lewis; and her son and daughter-in-law, Leslie ElJuan and Lanice Lewis.
Survivors include her daughter, Cleta Jo Richmond and husband Bill of Arlington; granddaughter, Kenna Martin and husband Tim of Arlington; grandson, Justin Richmond of Arlington; sisters, Mae Lyons of Corsicana, Frances Moore of Dallas and Elise Hoffman Brinkley of Sugar Land; brother, Kenneth Gay and wife Mary of Payson, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Earthman Hunters Creek Chapel in Houston.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana.
Mrs. Roberts was born Dec. 31, 1912 in Corsicana to local oil man and politician George Wesley Boyd and wife Fannie Kate Root, formerly of Lufkin. A 1931 graduate of Corsicana High School, Mrs. Roberts
attended the University of Texas. On Aug. 2, 1936, she married Jack Carl Roberts, who worked for Wyatt Metal and Boiler Works, later Wyatt Industries, from 1934 to 1972 ending his career as vice president for sales and a member of the board. A member of Chi Omega sorority, Mrs. Roberts was a past president of Houston Panhellenic Association, an adviser to young sorority women at Southern Methodist University and the University of Houston, and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
After marriage she resided in Houston and Dallas. She was a lifelong Methodist and Democrat, an avid sports fan and treasurer of various organizations to which she belonged.
Survivors include her son, genealogist and author Gary Boyd Roberts of Boston, Mass.; nephews, George Mitchell Boyd Jr. of Austin and the Rev. William P. Boyd of Granbury; niece, Mrs. John J. Allen of Austin; sister-in-law, Josephine Tullis Boyd of Corsicana; two great-nephews, five great-nieces, a great-great-nephew and a great-great-niece.

Born September 28, 1905, in Navarro County, Texas to Nimrod and Harriett Hollifield. She went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on March 4, 1998. Preceded in death by her husband Joe Haswell; daughter, Betty Hamilton and grandson, Jamie Hufford. Survived by son Henry Haswell and wife, Betsy; sister, Jewel Turner; grandchildren, Helen McCord and husband, Jessie, Charlotte Beall and Husband Jack, Joe Haswell, Michael Haswell, and Elizabeth Kirby and
husband Scott; numerous great and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. She was a member of Brandon Avenue United Methodist Church and its WFC Sunday school Class fore over 50 years. During her early years, she had a career in nursing and later was involved in garment manufacturing. In retirement, she was involved in senior citizen activities, including RSVP. Visitation for family and friends will be 7:00 - 8:30 PM on Friday March 6, 1998 at the Laurel land Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Anderson-Clayton Brothers Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cronin, John Davidson, B. J. Steele, Dr. Casey Risinger, Dr. Charlie Risinger and Kenneth Wylie.
Mrs. Puckett was born Nov. 6, 1930 in Dresden to the late W. D. and Jessie Laura Welch Cheek. She graduated from Corsicana High School and worked for State National Bank for 13 years. She later moved to Terrell where she worked for American National Bank from July 1961 until her retirement in October 1992. She was a member of the Advance Class of First United Methodist Church of Terrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Puckett.
Mrs. Puckett is survived by her brother, Richard J. Cheek and wife Christine of Mesquite; brothers-in-law, Johnny Puckett and wife Eleanor of Hixson, Tenn., Bobby Puckett and wife Vernell of Tyler and Preston Puckett of Cleveland; five nephews, three nieces, several grand-nieces and grand-nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

ALMA ROCHELLE (LAZY) age 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 19, 2001 at  the home of his daughter, from complications of Parkinsons disease. He was born October 17, 1913 in the small farming community of Rural Shade, TX to Hubert and Emma Trent. After graduation from High School he went away to the CCC work camps and fought fires in East Texas and cleared land on Mustang Island for a state park. His military service included a two year enlistment with the Texas National Guard. He enlisted in the United States Army in January 1936 where he served in the Horse Calvary at Fort Bliss, TX. He started working in Dallas driving a street cars in 1940. After the war began he was the first person to leave from Dallas Transit to continue his military service during WW II. He was with the 938th Field Artillery battalion that served in the European theater. After the war, he returned to his job and retired in 1976 from Dallas Transit after 36 years of service. He then worked for the Holiday Inn on Regal Row in Dallas as a van driver for several years. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Palma and H.T. (Dick) Trent, and his beloved daughter Adano Gayle. Left to cherish his memory is his son Allen R. Trent of Garland, his daughter and son-in-law Isibelle and Rodney DeBaun of Grand Prairie, his grandchildren, Teresa Trent of Florida, Ivy Trent of Garland, Paul Liebel of Grapevine and Heath and Chase DeBaun of Grand Prairie, great grandchildren Lauren and Shelby Liebel of Grapevine. He is also survived by two brothers, Ray and Leonard, and two sisters, Mutt and Evelyn who will dearly miss their big brother, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He graduated from Garland High School, Class of 1942, and immediately enlisted in the Navy. His duty was on submarines in the Pacific Theatre of War until 1945. After discharge from the service he was employed with the Santa Fe Rail Road in Dallas. In 1962, he established a real estate and insurance brokerage firm and later a printing and rubber stamp company. He retired in 1992. He was a member of the Buckingham Road Church of Christ in Garland. A past member of the Amateur Radio Club of Garland and was active in the Sky Warn and field day projects of the club. A. J. was the loving father of and is survived by daughter, Andra Beth and son-in-law, Jim Case; his sister Clota and

Graduated Corsicana High School in 1939 before enlisting in US Army Air Corps. Served as a Major in World War II from 1942 - 1945. In 1947, worked for Reserve Life Insurance Co., Dallas, TX. as an assistant to the Founder/Owner. From 1948-1954 was Agency Director and VP for National Bankers Life Insurance Co., Dallas, TX. In 1954 he Co-Founded Union Bankers Life Insurance Co., Dallas, TX and was President from 1958-1960. Owner of American Union Life Insurance Co., Dallas, TX from 1960-1991. His word was his bond. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Lee (Schantz) Perry; children, Jim Jr., Tom Carol & Bob; three daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; brothers, Otis and Glyn Perry; sister, Frances Turner.
Services will be 1:30PM Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at the Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

May 2, 1901 - Mar 15, 1998 SILVERBERG, JAY A. of Corsicana, passed away on Sunday 15 March 1998 at the age of 96. Born on 2 May 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of the University of Chicago with a Bachelors in Philosophy in 1922. Very active in Congregation Aqudas Achim in Corsicana. Past President and Treasurer of the Corsicana Hebrew Cemetery Association. He was a principal of K. Wollins Inc., serving as Vice President and Treasurer until he retired in 1970. Before and after his retirement he was a tireless worker in numerous charitable and service organizations. A member of the Corsicana (Noon) Lions Club for 72 years, having served as president in 1935-36. He was named a life member of Lions Club for Crippled Children. Also a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the Leo N. Levi Arthritis Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and B'nai B'rith. He was a 32nd degree Mason of which he was past president of the Texas State Lodge as well as a 50 year member of Hella Temple Shrine. He was past chairman of the Navarro County Chapter of the American Red Cross. One of his most cherished activities was his service as State Treasurer of the USO during World War II. Jay valued honesty and loyality, and passed those attributes on to his children and grandchildren. Survived by his sons, Herbert L. Annie Jones Annie Bell Jones, 62, of Corsicana, died Tuesday at Navarro Regional Hospital. The family will have a quiet hour at Scott Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Friday.

ANNOT LYLE CORBYN died June 19, 2000, at Park Row Nursing Home in Corsicana, Texas. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., February 16, 1910, to Henry Egerton Corbyn, Jr. and wife, Maude Mae Chamberlain Corbyn. She graduated from North Dallas High School. She married Allen Millwee Peairs in Dallas in 1933. Mr. Peairs preceded her in death on May 8, 1974. Mrs. Peairs was a well-known social leader in Dallas and hers was one of the first families to build and live in what is now known as "North Dallas." Her home at: 5103 Brookview Dr. was an important landmark for many years. Mrs. Peairs was a founding member of St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church and was, for many years, secretary of Northridge Presbyterian Church in Dallas. She was a member of the D.A.R. both in Dallas and James Blair Chapter D.A.R. in Corsicana, Texas, and was a descendant of Elder William Brewster of the
Mayflower. She was on the Board of Directors of Konslow House in Corsicana and where she had also been a member of The Better Gardens Club, Pan American, Tune and FOrk, and Colonial Dames 17th Century. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard Caldwell Rawlins, of Corsicana, Texas, one granddaughter; a brother, Mr. R. C. Corbyn at Amarillo, Texas and two nephews. Chapel services will be at Corley Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2000, with interment following at 4:00 p.m.in the Peairs family plot at Hillcrest Cemetery on Northwest Highway in Dallas, Texas. Roger Boyd Moye

MOYE, ROGER BOYD, born January 1, 1935 in Corsicana,
Texas, was called home to the Lord 
on May 20, 1998. Roger lived in California during the
50's, returning to Dallas in the 60's, and was a successful
plumber with the G. W. Works Co. for 20 years. He and
Betty Townsend had 3 sons, Kenneth, David and Timothy
Townsend, and he taught them his trade. In 1980, Roger
helped renovate a historic DP&L sub-station in South Dallas,
doing the plumbing a landscaping for PowerHouse Productions,
of which he continued to be a very important part this day.
Always learning, he became knowledgeable about photography,
and helped many professional photographers in Dallas.
From 1988 until 1993 he worked at Total Color Lab.
Although retired, Roger was never one to sit still, and he
continued to work in plumbing and photography. Roger
leaves behind his 3 sons, and grandchildren Tiffany, Africa,
Terry, Antoinette, and David Demond Townsend. He is
also survived by his fathre Clint Moye, sister Jean and
brother-in-law Willie Coleman, brother Clint Moye Jr.,
numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, many at
the Cliff Manor, where he lived. Roger always brought
a smile to our hearts and we smile to our hearts and we will
deeply miss the sound of his singing. He will lie in
state on Friday, May 29th, and a wake will be held that
evening at 7:15 at the Golden Gate Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 Saturday afternoon at St.
Mary's Chapel, with interment following at Lincoln Memorial
Cemetery. |

 Roy 'Buddy' Linn, 66 of Corsicana, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Linn was born Sept. 4, 1933 in Olmeto, Texas. He was a certified master mechanic on heavy equipment. Mr. Linn was retired from the
U.S. Air Force. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Confederate Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Royal Allen Linn, Sr. and Alda Cornelious Linn, and a brother, Doyle Wayne Linn.
Mr. Linn is survived by his wife of 13 years, Vicky Linn of Corsicana; three daughters, Kathy Linn Conrad of Bedford, Debra Linn Cowen of Arlington, and Tricia Linn Taylor of Grapevine; two sons, Donald W. Linn of Las Vegas, Nev. and Bobby McDonald of Shreveport Louis.; sister Betty Jean Linn Byars of Joaquin; and nine grandchildren, Lori D. Conrad of Fort Worth, Brittany M. Mr. Burleson was born Sept. 9, 1929 in Kerens to Bud and Penelope Ann Cartlidge Burleson. He grew up in Kerens and lived there until he went into the military. He was a retired lieutenant for the Richardson Police Department and lived in Dallas during his working career. He lived in Canton the past 10 years. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Burleson is survived by his wife, Joyce Wynona Burleson of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, "Buddy" and Susan Burleson of Kaufman; grand-daughter,
Jamie Burleson of Kaufman; and grandson, Blacke Burleson of Kaufman.

Mr. House was born July 9, 1929 in Arkansas. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War.
Mr. House was preceded in death by daughter, Lela McRae.
Mr. House is survived by his wife, Gracie F. House of Frost; daughter, Ida Hubert of Waxahachie; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Anna Gibson of Shamrock.

Mr. Slater was born Dec. 30, 1926 in Spring Hill. He was a lifelong resident of the Dawson area except for two years when he lived in Benbrook and worked at General Dynamics. He was a former city councilman and Mayor Pro-tem of Dawson. Mr. Slater was retired from the maintenance department for the Corsicana State Home and was also a bus driver for Dawson ISD for 13 years. He was an avid fox hunter and was a member of the Navarro County Fox and Wolf Hunters Association. He was also an Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Slater was a member of Navarro Mills Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis Gene Slater, in 1964.
Mr. Slater is survived by his wife, Ethel Jean Slater of Dawson;
daughters, Margaret Jo Maxwell of Desoto and Mary Kathryn Fleeman of Purdon; brother, Tommy "Sonny" Slater of Dawson; sisters Libby Truelove of Dawson, Margie Chandler of Rice, Mary Halford of Red Oak Linda Bryant of Dawson and Jane Adams of Cross Roads; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Key on July 14, 1994.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Park with Dick James officiating.
Mr. Drennan was born July 3, 1918 in Elmore City, Okla. He was raised in Electra and was drafted at 21. He served the country valiantly in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal of Honor. While in the service, he served under Gen. Douglas MacArthur in Australia and New Guinea. After the war he married his sweetheart, Arlene Wyche, on Sept. 16, 1945. Mr. Drennan lived in Corsicana for the majority of his life and was a longtime member of Westhill Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Drennan; and brother, Leonard Drennan.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Truman Little of Waxahachie; son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. and Johnda Drennan of Houston; grandsons, John Robert Drennan of Tampa, Fla. and Brian C. Aug 8, 1906 - Jan 28, 2002 Margret V. Jones Frisby Revis, 95, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Center in Corsicana.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard.
She was born Aug. 8, 1906 in Hubbard to Maggie Stroud Rawls and Gideon Thaddeus "Thad" Jones. Her mother died in her early years and her father married Dora Garrett Sims, a Waco educator.
She was prominent in debate and dramatic activities at Hubbard High School, from which she graduated in 1924. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor University, and was active in national debate competition until her marriage to M. Monroe Frisby in 1926. After the birth of her son, she returned to Mary Hardin Baylor and took two bachelor's degrees. She later attended North Texas University, where she taught as she completed her master's degree and qualifying work in speech therapy and audiology.
During her career she taught classes from kindergarten to graduate level college classes. Her career took her to Penelope, Mount Calm, San Angelo, Laredo, and Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico where she taught English as a second language while taking courses in Mexican history and culture, and Alvin and League City.
In 1973, she married Harold Michael Revis, who died in 1994. She was active in civic affairs in League City, presiding over the Literary and Garden clubs. She retired from teaching in 1975 after heading the speech therapy department at Clear Creek Independent School District. She devoted her remaining years to civic affairs and painting with oils, watercolors and collage, teaching conversational Spanish to senior citizens in the community college, and in gardening, indoors and out.
Survivors include her son, Col. Bob Frisby and wife Martha Montgomery Frisby of Corsicana; granddaughters, Robin Sherman of Show Low, Ariz. and Amy Starling of Midlothian; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Anna Sherman, and Joshua, Alyssa, Abby and Annie Starling; sister, Kyrene Sims of Hubbard; and nephew, Clyde Michael Sims and wife Brenda of Hubbard.
In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, it was Ms. Revis' wish that donations be made to the Historic Hubbard High School, now a museum, library and meeting place.

Mr. Murphey was born July 29, 1923 in Corsicana. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during
W.W.II. He owned a concrete construction company and was an antiques dealer and collector.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Murphey and daughter Janet Murphey, both of Corsicana; daughter Sharon Seely and husband Pat of Kingwood; brothers Leland Murphey of Athens and Tom Murphey and wife Peggy of Conroe; grandsons Matthew Seely and wife Virginia of Euless, Michael Seely and wife Eve of Grapevine and Steven Seely of Kingwood; great-grandsons Aaron Seely and Austen Seely, both of Grapevine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be noon Thursday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Vernon Jessie officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.

Mr. Knox was born Nov. 18, 1925 at Hester Grove Community in Navarro County. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Oil City Iron Works after 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Velma Knox; daughter and son-in-law Willie Verne and Maurice Haynes of Corsicana; son Rodney Knox of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law Zelmer and Eddie Mae Knox of Dallas; sister-in-law Charlie Mae and Jasper Washington of Dallas; brother Hardy Montgomery of Corsicana; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dugan was born April 12, 1917. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. French was born Aug. 20, 1913 in Brushie Prairie. He was a Navy veteran of W.W.II. He was married first to Dorothy Jeanette Turner and had one daughter. His second wife was Louise Young Nelson he raised five step-children. He resided in Lubbock for over 40 years.
He is survived by daughter Charlene McCall and son-in-law Bill J. McCall; step-children Marion, Orville, Reese, Patsy and Peggy Nelson; sister Myrtle Whitener; brothers S.T. French, Jackie French and wife Helen and Victor French and wife Dorothy; grandsons Arthur, Michael and Dennis Sakas; great-grandson Michael Wayne Sakas, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hickson was born Jan 25, 1914 to Arch Thomas and Florence McLauchlin Smith. She was a member of La Seroma Club and St. Marks United Methodist Church in Port Arthur. She served as a state judge in garden shows.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. J. Hickson in 1996.
Survivors include her sisters, Annie Matthews and Joyce Brown, both of Cedar Creek Lake, Marie Ragsdale of Corsicana and Ray Pierce of Fort Worth; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of one's choice.
